      We purchased a 2015 jeep on 5-24-21 for $38,180.82. our sales man was Rick Roush at the 4610 E. HWY 287, Midlothian, Tx 76065 (972) 637 4234 location. Based on customer reviews, test drives, Carfax, the salesman's word, and the quality of the dealership, we felt confident of our purchase. By 7-09-21 it was in the shop for major mechanical repairs. We made several phone calls in June, and July when the jeep went to the shop. One call was returned asking us to drop it off and they would take it to the dealership and get back to us. When the jeep was out of the shop 9-09-21, we tried to speak with the owner or manager in person & we were turned away. I sent an email to Rick 11-01-21 seeking some answers. I received a phone call phone from "******" a few days later. He stated to be the owner. He informed me that Rick was no longer employed there. He was going thru Rick's old emails. I explained the situation, per the email he had before him. He told me that he remembered that jeep (because the original owner had brought it to them personally to purchase because the dealership was low balling him) and he would look into it and get back to me. He added, that I was lucky he even found the email or no one would have ever know. We have yet to hear from anyone at Silver Star since that phone conversation and they have not contacted the repair shop for more information. Had Silver Star properly checked over this vehicle and had it inspected before selling it to us, like they said they did: the major engine damage, that had been done over time, would have been noticed and the vehicle shouldn't of been sold. Per the mechanics opinion. The email attached explains a little more about the inspection not being done. The pictures also show the discoloration from extreme heat, metal flakes, and other damage. The invoices are for the jeep, repairs and inspection needed.

      Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/03/09) */ Thank you for contacting us. This Jeep has been purchased on 5-24-21 and it has 118,413 miles. We have never been contacted about engine problems till after new motor was installed by Ronnies Pit Stop on 7-27-2021 and vehicle had 123,148 miles After talking to the customer the engine problem started after they had an engine oil changed by repair shop some 5K miles after purchasing this jeep from us. The customer declined extended warranty at the time of purchase. The customer chose to have repair done on this vehicle without contacting us before they pursued the repair. We would have been able to help assist them with their issue in some manner, but they made a choice to handle the repair on their own. If this vehicle would have been brought to an affiliate shop the outcome for this customer would have completely different. Unfortunately, we were not given the opportunity.
