My mother died at the facility in July of 2021. She was found on the floor in the early morning, having hit her head when she fell out of bed. It has taken me this long to be able to write about it. She was there a year before and it was a good experience. Not this time. They were severly understaffed, yet kept filling up the beds and collecting the ******** payments. They knew she was not getting better. They even quit consulting with us on a weekly plan for her care. They kept giving her a drug to keep her quiet, AGAINST MY WISHES, which only made her confused and incoherent. They kept telling me she was doing physical therapy, but I felt that was impossible, when she could not walk or talk most of the time. I found her in soiled bedding, clothes and undergarments too many times to count. Sometimes the soiled undergarments were on the floor. A week before I was arranging to move her myself is when she died. Then to add insult to injury, the attending doctor put on her death certificate that she developed and died from Alzheimer's in the last 48 hours. Really? If you choose is facilty, beware and make sure you keep a dilligent eye on your loved ones care.

My father developed COVID and was hospitalized Jan 13, 2023 and about 10 days later ended up in Remington. For a while we thought my father was giving them problems, but looking back they may have been the problem. I am feeling more and more this was the case as I have called to speak to the nurse's station on his floor and the social worker all week with no response. What is worse is with each message I am sure to tell them he passed away (after developing sepsis while in their care, which I have not mentioned). My mother asks how he got sick so fast after being on a broad spectrum antibiotic needed because while at Remington he tore his ***** catheter out. My mother asks if they were giving him his antibiotic how did he develop a 105 fever and sepsis in 3 days. And if they didn't have a reason to feel guilty, then why ignore multiple calls a day to their facility the week he died? The calls just say we want to inform them of his passing and arrange to collect his belongings.

Would not recommend . Gave me medicine I was not prescribed. Nurse lied to Dr what medicine I was on. Dr came back and told me I was already on blood thinners which I was not. Nurse said she gave it to while I was sleeping which is a lie I was awake when she came into room. Told Dr he went back to nurse to tell her she must be mistaken but no she double down on her lie. She also claimed I was already on other medicine the Dr wanted to put me on. Dr finally asked for a printed list of my medicine and sure enough I wasn't on any of the medicine she was claiming I was on. I do believe that is falsifying medical records. I understand a person might get confused but to double down on it without checking that is horrible. This could of ended in a fatal result. I don't write reviews but this place is something else. Majority of night staff rude , unresponsive taking over an hour to come to room when assistance desperately needed at night. Night crew at times would not respond to me verbally or with any facial expressions. Several nights heard elderly woman screaming bloody murder for help well over an hour. Almost dialed 911 so someone could help her. The list goes on and on. Therapy was wonderful food was not. I had some wonderful nurses aids during the day and one during night but they are obviously over worked. Please think twice if planning on using this facility or sending loved one. It's a beautiful facility I just wish care matched it.

Had to rate this so I could write review, but would not give it any stars. Had a relative check in there on December 8, 2021 for physical therapy, and was discharged on December 27, 2021. No staff greets the patient, no staff speaks to the family. Staff do not treat you like a person. Staff are hateful, annoyed, and appear to hate their jobs. I was there every night from around 4:30 p.m.to 7-8:00 p.m. - same situation EVERY night. Every time I asked for assistance it was an ordeal, and no one wanted to help, they just would try to find someone else. The place is filthy. No towels in the towel dispenser in bathroom - asked about this on first day - never replaced. I personally had to go take towels from an empty bathroom so that we could have towels. Asked for them, but never got them. Floors in room always dirty. Bed was always dirty. Patient was dirty - no showers! No attention on the patient whatsoever. Supposedly the patient was slapped by staff. Looking into this, and have notified police department. The place is horrible. My family member left in worse shape than when he arrived. Physical therapy was a joke, and did nothing for the patient. After reading other reviews, I find all of my complaints are the same as others. Why is this place allowed to be open, and supposedly caring for patients. They are not caring for anyone in this place. The business should be shut down.
