On February 7th, 2023, Sunrise Plumbing was contracted to detect a leak at my home on Rockwall, TX. for the sum of $300. After about 30 min. they said they had found the leak, it was in my garage they would have to jack-hammer under the concrete, and it would cost $6,330 to fix the leak. Sunrise Plumbing also said they were a certified leak detection company and would provide a report of the findings from the leak detection service that I paid $300 for, but I never received anything. I declined due to the high cost, and called another plumber to get a second opinion. When the new plumber came out, they found the leak, it was NOT where Sunrise Plumbing said it was, so the leak detection service was inaccurate. The new plumbing company was able to fix the lead in a few hours for $720 avoiding any structural damage to my garage, no jack-hammering was ever needed. I contacted Sunrise Plumbing to request a refund because the lead detection was inaccurate, they will not respond. This is an obvious example of exploitation.Business response

We disagree with these statements. We are a professional plumbing company with a long proven track record on leak detections. We don't give refunds based on another companies work performed.Initial Complaint

Friday, September 15th I called them and setup an appointment for their plumber to show up on Monday September 19th, my wife was able to come home from work to meet them there, we both explained to the plumber that the toilet was leaking water, he first tried to charge over $350.00 because honestly they had gotten away with over charging us in the past, the plumber replaced a rubber gasket at the bottom of the tank, but I came home that same night to a still leaking toilet, leaking in the same spot as before, so I called them the very next morning Tuesday 20th, the toilet leaked for the rest of the week, I called them 5 more times after that, leaving 2 messages with the manager, I believe his name was ********, and they never tried to contact me, I have since just replaced the toilet myself and fixed the issue, but I really want my money back from them. I feel like this company price gauges and takes advantage of people that might not understand the costs of these fixes. Please help me get my money back.Business response

June 24th. If I could give negative stars, I would!!! My 70 year old mother had a water leak. Sunrise Plumbing came out after 5pm on a Friday. Had to replace a 2' section of pipe where adhesive had failed and only had to dig a 3'X3'X6" area to fix it. It's not a sewer pipe. Just pvc. Neither my mother or myself know much about plumbing costs. The bill was a little over $1900! The one guy, Andrew, was there about 2 and a half hours. My mother is on a fixed income and I didn't have that kind of money either. She had to pull money from a very meager IRA to pay for it. When I called the company that Monday morning, I asked for an itemized bill so I knew exactly what they charged for $1900! The receptionist said they don't give itemized bills but would have the manager call me to discuss. That was 8:30am. By 1:30pm, no one called me so I called back and got the same lady. She said she couldn't remember our conversation from earlier that morning but took my number and put me into the manager's voicemail. I left a detailed message and 4 days later, I still haven't received a call back with an explanation. THESE PEOPLE TOOK ADVANTAGE OF A 70 YEAR OLD WOMAN WHO ONLY GETS 1202.00 PER MONTH FROM SOCIAL SECURITY! DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE!!!Business response

On May 26, 2022, a waterline for a business owner was punctured. I was not able to completely turn off the water, so called Sunrise Plumbing to turn off water and repair the punctured 2" pvc pipe. Serviceman quoted a price of $1,837 before he would attempt to turn off the water. I questioned the exorbitant price, and his response was 'do you want to do it or not'. I hesitantly agreed as the water needed to be turned off asap. Serviceman was not able to turn off the water, so the City of Rockwall had to be called and they turned off the water. Serviceman did not have the part to repair the pipe, so left to purchase it. He returned and repaired the pipe in a very short time. Sunrise Plumbing has been contacted three times to request an explanation of the exorbitant charges. They have refused to return my calls. The invoice number is XXXXXXXX. The charge included a commercial trip charge of $89. I believe the less than one hour of actual work should not be more than $300. I am requesting a refund of $1,448.Business response

On Monday May 23, 2022, Sunrise Plumbing replaced a faucet on my front porch. The plumber used some type of mortar to secure the faucet to the brick. On May 24, 2022, I turned the faucet on, and it became loose from the brick and the mortar fell off of the brick. I called Sunrise Plumbing and they sent the plumber back out to my house. The plumber reapplied some type of mortar to the brick surrounding the faucet. He advised to let the mortar dry for 24 hours. I let the mortar dry for 72 hours and when I turned on the faucet the mortar crumbled. and the faucet came loose from the brick. I called Sunrise Plumbing on May 27. 2022 and asked to speak to a manager to resolve the problem. I was told a manager would call me back. As of today, May 31, 2022 I have not heard from Sunrise Plumbing. I hired Jacks Masonry today May 31,2022 and had them fix the brick and mortar at a cost of $60. I want Sunrise Plumbing to reimburse me the $60 I had to spend to repair the brick and mortar surrounding the new faucet.Business response

Sunrise Plumbing & Air serviced our HVAC on 8/20/21. At the time, along with the service work completed , I was sold a preventive maintenance plan for: SP1-8 Sunrise Prime -No trip charges includes Saturday (excludes afterhours). -15% discount on all repairs and sales. -Priority Service - we move you to the front of the line when you are in need of service. -Twice Yearly SUNRISE ENERGIZE tune-up on your complete HVAC system -(More items listed on attachment) I asked if I would need to schedule the inspections or if Sunrise would contact me to schedule. Technician said Sunrise scheduler would contact me. Sunrise did not contact me for the inspections. The warranty inspection was not done at the time of the 8/20 service call. 2/14 - I called Sunrise 4 or 5 times for service because the heating system was not working correctly. I was told someone would call me back to schedule, I was repeatedly disconnected while on hold, I was told Sunrise only provided plumbing services. When I explained that I had purchased a preventative maintenance plan, and if they were not going to provide the service, I wanted a refund. I was told someone would call me back. No return call so I finally gave up and called another company that serviced my unit. And signed up for their 2x yearly maintenance plan And then on Sunday, 2/21, I received an email from Sunrise to schedule my "routine maintenance". On Monday, I called the number on the email to inquire. After a discussion with the scheduler and waiting on hold while she tried to reach someone, I was again told they did not service HVAC, only plumbing and she would have someone call me back. No one has called me back. This is disappointing because I have used Sunrise for the purchase and installation of two hot water heaters and several plumbing issues before they worked on the HVAC system in August. I have recommended them to neighbors. That is why I purchased their maintenance plan. I just want a refund for that.Business response

Them emails are auto done, and have since been updated since getting this information. We are still in the process of removing HVAC servies off of all of our media.
