I went on Saturday 9/22/2024 to the location on I10w UTSA for a simple brake light switch. The unexperienced employee and manager ************ did not know what they were doing and put a wrong part. The brake lights did go out but but when you drive in the highway after few minutes the BRAKES LOCK we were driving with no bakes in the car. We returned the car back and they can see the issue there , they changed the brake switch and this time got the part from Auto Zone instead of ******* , unfortunately it's the same thing, the brakes locked again. *** and ****** or ***** refused to inspect the issue unless I pay $120. they want us to pay for something they did wrong. They refused to give us our old part back, the manager said it's in the trash and he was not going to look for it. He put out car key at the seat of my car and did not want to take any responsibility to fix the issue, and he did not care that me and family driving the Van with big problem that they cause to the brakes. They iendangered me and my family by driving the car with the brakes locked.I called a mobile mechanic and he was able to put the right part in the van. I called the shop on Monday morning a asked for the corporate office to file a complain. in which i did . 2 hrs later the manager ****** called me and tried to be ** nice. but it was too late. Today i got i call from the corporate office and he said he was the vice president and he was as rude as h*** did not want to listen to me and the call went south and lots of yelling and the line got cut off.The wrong part they put was oversized and has a spring at the end of it which kept hitting the bake paddle and sending a signal to the brakes to stop at all the time and locking the brakes. ***, ****** and the vice president don't even know that. MONEY was more important to them than figuring out the issue and the danger they put the customer in

I just want to vent since I just vented to ********************* 2 of a minor squeaking problem I had after 2 months ago spending over a $1000 here! I came in yesterday regarding a loud noise coming from the driver side. ******************** I believed checked it out and told me the problem I didn't have the funds at the time but I got my front rotors resurfaced and paid $72 plus dollars for it and as soon as I got on the road the squeaking noise was still there. So I turned around and came back. I ended up spending another $300 to replace my rotors and sat in a waiting room that was 94 degrees along with another lady named ******. 2 hrs later drenched in sweat my car was ready. Paid my bill and was on my way! Got on 610 and guess what the squeaking was still there I called and he said just drive it. It will go away! Day 2 it's still there. I came here again and ******* met me and I told him as the manager flagged him down and told him to tell me to come back later. Not happening! I have to drive my car to ******** this weekend and won't be listening to that squeaking for 3 hrs. The other girl ****** said the same thing as he was telling her all the things she didn't need. Meanwhile as soon as I left he turn on the ** I am sorry does he pay the ** bill for the customers sitting in the waiting room????? I will be posting this same message on ****** and anywhere else I can get the word out that I am a ****** OFF CUSTOMER!!!

If I could leave no stars I would. DO NOT take your car here. I went in for basic brakes and rotors replacements (mind you, it cost me over $700) but I said okay just because I knew from history replacing the rotors would cost a little extra. From there, I left and the next day my car was making this grinding noise which sounded much worst then when I brought it in the first time. I called that day and who I'm guessing is the manager told me to bring in the next day because it would be an hour and a half before they could see me. I did just that (brought my car in the next day) and was told I needed something that was completely different from what I initially came in for and the part for it would not be ready until the next day. So now at this point, I'm going another day without my car. I go back to pick it up the next morning and have to pay another $900! I drive off and I still hear the same sound! I take it back up to them immediately and they have to keep the car for ANOTHER day! He tells me it's the rotors and all I can think is "didn't I just have the rotors replaced?!". He gives me some b.s. answer and I still have to wait to get another part. I call every few hours checking on the status and the manager continues to give me the run around, "We just got the part in. I'm going to test drive and make sure I don't hear the sound. Just give us a few hours." Just a bunch of mess. I went back up to the shop to check on progress myself and they hadn't even started work on my car, even though the part had came in. Again, I'm given the run around. "They sent the wrong part". By all means, avoid going here (********** W *******, **).

I took my car to Just brakes and the ***************** was really nice and sis that there was a issue with suspension lots of things needed to be done was about $6000 I told him I don't have that kind of money he had me apply for credit card and I was approved for $2000. So told him that someone the work would have to wait so he got it together for me and got it down to $2450 he said that it will be ready by the end of day. He called me and said there was a bolt they were having an issue removing and would need to keep over night they will completed other work. ***** then called me back asking that I pay $2000 to close out for the day and I allowed it which was a mistake because the work has not been completed so now in the system shows that work is done and my vehicle is ready when it's not said ok no problem. The next day a different guy called me the and told me they would need to keep it another day saying they were having an issue getting apart off in the back. I said what is different from yesterday I said tomorrow is Memorial Day will you be open he said we will be working but won't be open I said well I will need my car tomorrow he said they will get it delivered tomorrow. I feel they have taken my money and is not working on my car at all. It's not even registered in the system as my car being there so they are getting away with not working on my car and receiving funds for the car. I am very upset and feel like I am being taken advantage of the shops is no t open today on Memorial Day and there is no one working on my car this will be the 3rd day my car is still there and looks like I will not get it today

Deceitful billing and rude disrespectful shop managers, VP regional manager and HR department. Business practices order parts from parts stores and absolutely low rates (ie brake pads Costing customers $50 if they bought them in store, they get them at 50-80% lower than that) then install those brakes, to then return the customers old ********************* back to the parts store under the new brake warrenty and get their money back. Only the to charge the customer over the $50 of the part cost.($60-$600) and that's just one part example...many other warrenty items are purchased at a reduced rate returned and the customer upcharged....zero transparency and customer is unaware because SOP for ********************** is to have parts delivered from outside suppliers (O'Reillys, Advance Auto Parts, AutoZone and NAPA) out of customer view to keep this Deceitful practice from the customer.

Should be Break-Check. Mistakes happen, however reputable companies will stand behind their work and try not to lose good customers. I needed a simple oil change prior to a long road trip and went to the local ** franchise in *************. Afterwards, during our trip, my vehicle intermittently idled roughly and stalled several times, twice in heavy traffic. When I returned, I had the dealer diagnose the problem. The technician at Brake Check had failed to re-install the air filter housing properly, which allowed unfiltered air to contaminate the fuel injectors. The local manager, a corporate director, immediately admitted that this was their fault and he promised to take care of reimbursing me for the $460 diagnosis and injector cleaning. I was impressed at the apparent honesty and directness. Then weeks went by with no action from **, though the local guy always told me that corporate had approved the reimbursement and was definitely going to take care of it. Finally, the manager dodged and gave me a cell number for his boss, ****, because **** was a VP and he is now personally taking care of it. **** acted like a jerk tried to blame the dealer that fixed their mistake. Also **** said they would not pay the full amount, only a small part of it, less than 1/3. They never followed through on that either. This company does not stand by their work or keep their word. This was a ****** in how to provide bad customer service. Avoid them!!

When they did my brakes and suspension, had to take my car back the next day due to a clunky sound. Turns out they had left some nuts loose causing the suspension to hit. This was a month ago. Two days ago I had a flat tire, I couldn't get assistance because the stud had been damaged and the lug nut cross threaded. I had to be towed, twice first to tire shop and then to mechanic. They had to repair the whole wheel hub and chain and studs, costing me $600 dlls. I called Brake check cause they were the last to touch that wheel and they did not want to own to it and said they were not responsible since the job they did was a month old. Never going back there, can't trust their job, not only did they charge be $1200 for the job they did but ended up costing me $600 more for damages they caused.

I have been a customer at ********************** in Burmese Creek for at least 10 years with at least 3 vehicles. 3 months ago I had them replace the rear rotors and pads. The manager and I discussed the work and he selected the items we discussed in his iPad and did the work and I paid and left. Ive been noticing recently my brakes do not feel the same and sometimes I can smell the brakes after a drive. I went back for inspection and discovered the braille hardware had not been replaced. I did not pay for this because as I said the manger and I were discussing and somehow I was supposed to be the expert and know what to tell him to do. At this time my rotors and pads are glazed and something is going on with one of the new pads as it is causing a groove in the new rotor. The employees told me the that they could replace the pads but I would have to pay labor I asked him to call a manger as I felt this was not right. At first he said he would turn the rotors at no charge but after getting the manager **** on the phone all that changed. They would not warranty anything since they didnt replace the hardware the last time. Up until this point I was being told the hardware was causing the issue. I of course was upset but told them to right everything they they recommended and we would discuss what I wanted to do. After doing so we started looking at the brakes closely and discussed that both rear calipers were causing the brakes to ride which was the issue. So I tied them to add the calipers ti the quote. After discussing with them I was prepared to buy calipers and have a flush all I asked was they warranty the rotor turning and the new pads. They needed approval so were going to call ****s boss. Instead they got **** again who said no warranty on anything. So I told them to put my truck back together and left. No going to have to pay someone else to do all this work. Ive left a message for their corporate office but not holding my breath.

Took my vehicle into Brake Check for routine brake service. Was charged for the full service only they didn't do the back brake pads. Afterwards I had nothing but issues with my brakes squealing. Went to get my car inspected and they said they couldn't pass it due to the back brake pads being to worn out. So had my brake pads done else where and guess what no more squealing. Talked to corporate about this issue and they are as worthless as their employees. I will never refer or use their service again. Brake Check - One Big Rip Off

Brake Check ********** put big sign "FREE alignment check" and "we do alignment and brake RIGHT". I went there for checking alignment, 30 minutes waiting from the scheduled time.. Once finished, they charged me with the excuse they went ahead fix the alignment WITHOUT even show me the result or ask whether I want to do alignment or not after they checked the alignment. They also refuse to give before and after alignment adjustment printout with excuse that the system down, they only said the monitor shows it's off 0.6 on 1 spot only and they've already working on it, but they refused to give the print out.My question is why Brake Check put huge "free alignment check" if they proceed with the service without telling the customer about the finding first and without customer authorization to proceed? How about the big slogan that they do alignment and brake RIGHT, if they doing business like this?I understand if business need to make sales, but is this the only way to make sales? By forcing sales? I believe Brake Check should make sales by providing good and transparent transaction which in the end earning trust from customer, NOT by scamming customer.Does ********************** corporate have goodwill to solve this case the RIGHT way? $105 might seems small to corporate company, but it might hurt some people trust and damage company reputation. I hope Brake Check Corporate or the owner can make this thing right, unless this is the way Brake Check Corporate doing the business, by doing it the WRONG way.
