I have attached a document detailing my case. I contacted ACES on February 21, 2023, to obtain information for me. I originally requested 9 items, then changed it to 6. ACES only provided one item. I was lead to believe on several occasions that they were wrapping up the investigation only to find out they cannot obtain the information I requested. I paid $2000 and am requesting a refund for services not rendered under false pretenses.Business response

I spoke with the client on the phone and she only requested banking information she then put in our contract several things that are not obtainable like wants to know about trips her ex has taken to ****** in that past. We provided her banking information with balances as well as other background information.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:************ never stated that he or his team could not fulfill my requests outlined in the contract, until last week. Additionally, I kept inquiring regarding loan information and trips to ****** and was led to believe that this could be obtained. If you look at the texts from *****, he did not initially say these requests (loan information and trips to ******) could not be completed. I have not received any loan information and the banking information provided was lacking (missing bank accounts). ************ didnt even acknowledge the other outstanding requests.
When I spoke with ************ on the phone in February, I did mention the trips to ****** and stated this in my contract. It was not until last week that he notified me it could not be done. If a requested service could not be provided, ************ should have notified me in February when I submitted the contract but prior to assigning an investigator
The fact remains I paid for services I did not receive and some of the items I did receive were lacking.

You just admitted that you received the banking information from the investigator call around and see who else can get you banking information. You wanted additional things but you ran out of money. You can reject what you want but we provided a service and have proof of the service we provided.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:I never denied receiving the banking information, but it is incomplete. I do not think that obtaining that level of banking information cost $2000. It appears you wasted my money obtaining lackluster information as it took you months to send me this inadequate information.
This is the first I am hearing that I ran out of money. **************, I had money left over.
You did provide a service, but it was inadequate and not what was listed in the contract.
Regards,
