Disappointing Service at Universal Toyota - Will **** My Business Elsewhere I recently had the misfortune of experiencing the worst customer service at ********************, and I feel compelled to share my disappointing experience. As a loyal customer who has always trusted ********************** for their reliability and excellence, I was utterly dismayed by the treatment I received. From the moment I walked into the dealership, it was clear that customer service was not a priority. The staff were not only inattentive but also remarkably rude. When I discussed warranty, I was met with condescension and dismissive attitudes. What was even more troubling was the accusatory tone I encountered when I raised concerns about a service issue I had with my current vehicle. Instead of receiving a solution-oriented response, I was met with defensiveness and a refusal to take responsibility. Its unacceptable for a business to treat its customers with such disdain, especially when those customers are seeking assistance and resolution.I have always believed in the quality of Toyota vehicles, but Universal Toyota's poor service has left me questioning whether I want to continue doing business with this dealership. Its clear that their focus is not on customer satisfaction, but rather on pushing customers away with their unprofessional behavior.I will be taking my business elsewhere and advising my network to do the same. I hope Universal Toyota takes this feedback seriously and makes the necessary improvements to avoid losing more valued customers in the future.Disappointed and frustrated, *************************, ********* RetiredReview from Angelina C

Con artists. I took my **** Lexus ES330 to their service department because we had a new noise. It was still ************* just a noise. It needed service anyway so I scheduled it for an oil change and diagnostics. I heard back that their best most experienced technician checked it out and claimed it needed an new fuel pump and regulator. The cost $1500. The parts would be refurbished because they didn't have new parts for it. I decided to take it to two other mechanics. Both those mechanics said that diagnostics on the car showed the fuel pump and regulator where fine and that there was a loose belt making the noise. A $40 belt. When they did the diagnostics the mechanic we chose to make the repair informed us that the oil change was done but overfilled which could cause huge problems. So not only did they make up something to fix to over charge me, they may have caused damage to my vehicle. I would like a complete refund of this bill as they did not provide a service and they may have caused damage to my car. Invoice# T0CS385606Review from Juan G

I have went to the universal Toyota in *********** ***** to have my Apple car play software updated, and was told It was gonna cost me $179. I dont know why I have to pay for it when all 2018 Toyota Camry have capability for car play, I also read online that yes apple car play is free on Toyota vehicles that have the capability comes standard with them.Review from Scott M

This place *****, especially the finance department. My car was already paid for and I had to sit with the finance guy while he went through the sales pitch for worthless extended warranties and other useless products for way too long. But the kicker is them mislabeling, trim packages on cars to make it look like your prices are better. I bought what was labeled as a XLE package vehicle and it was really an LE. I found out after I got home and pulled up the vehicle history after a couple of days. These guys are pathetic. I've had similar experiences out of the red McCombs dealers too. It's a cultural thing there. These red mccombs places are the kind of place that gives car dealerships their lousy rep.Review from Charles S

On October 24, 2022, I sat in our 2010 Toyota Camry in our garage using guidance manuals attempting to reset the trip meter back to zero because the oil and filter change was overdue. Not being able to reset the trip meter, I placed the manuals back in the glove compartment and made an appointment with Universal Toyota, ***********, ***** for 10/26/2022 to change the oil and filter. The Camry was purchased at Universal in 2010. Following the service a representative suggested that the cabin air filter needed changing ($139.95), the brake fluid needs to be flushed and replaced ($139.95), and the top of the engine requires cleaning ($129.95). Being very savvy on autos and how they function, these offers were declined. The following day 10/27/2022, I went to our garage to replace the cabin air filter that is located behind the glove compartment. When I opened the glove compartment, the total contents were missing. All of the guidance booklets furnished with the Camry at purchase, the auto insurance papers, proof of inspection material, all previous service documents, and even my flashlight and batteries. I immediately traveled back to Universal Toyota hoping to regain the missing items. The service manager looked for the material but could not find any missing items. He tried to convince me that those items were not in the glove compartment, to begin with, but I assured him they were there because I had used them on 10/24/2022. He also added that the person doing the cabin air filter evaluation had worked there for many years and he trusted him. He said they would order a new set of 2010 Camry guidance books which I do not have at present. It puzzles me why someone would take that material. My auto insurance company and I have placed a security code that must be presented to use the insurance document. The ****** learned here is you should remove all material like the above when leaving vehicles for service. I also learned there is a thief at Universal.Review from Michael D

Bought two cars from these guys and they still took the time to s**** over a loyal customer. Needed a headlight changed. Told them exactly what was wrong and told them a diagnosis wasn't needed. The part cost a little over $500. They quoted me a price over $2200 to fix it. Really?! I said no and they changed me a diagnostic fee anyway. What kind of sorry c*** is that. Then I put it out on Yelp what they did and I get a message back from upper management to contact them. Messages left and no call backs. I would suggest that you don't do any service business with them. They will just cheat you and if you don't get it fixed there they will hold your car hostage and get money from you anyway. Very disappointed. They aren't the only Toyota dealership so choose wisely.Review from Clayton K

Scheduled service a week in advance. A day before I am supposed to go in for service, they kindly let me know "There is a 2 day backlog on service, so we may need your vehicle for 2 days". Why then, did I schedule the service in the first place? After I called to complain, they had 2 people call me back, first the service advisor, who says even though I have a recall, I can't get a rental because they don't have any. I get a 2nd call from another lady, and she calls someone(On speakerphone!) who says they have 5 available! Just unbelievable runaround for what should have been a fairly simple service.Review from Eddie S.
