  I requested chewable Vetprofen (100 mg) for my pet. We had purchased it in the past - Recommended by this vet clinic and were pleased with the product. This time, we were sold a bottle of tablets and not chewables. I asked if we could obtain the chewables and was told they were out of stock. Then, I was told they made their own. I was quoted a price of $378 for only 120 chewables. This seemed wrong since the website shows a price of $162.89 for 180 chewable Vetprofen. I was told that I would receive a call when the chewables were in stock. No one called. I called back and was told that it was out of stock - then told they did have them after all. Meanwhile, I contacted numerous other vets and ******* to obtain prices and exact photos of what their (Vetprofen looks like) on chewable Vetprofen. The average price was well below the price quoted by this clinic. Today, I picked up the 120 chewables in hopes that the correct price cited on their website would be charged and not the outrageous price originally suggested. I was told that my card on file would be charged and was not given an itemized receipt. I left and decided to not give my dog the meds until I could verify where they were made and who made them. I would like to understand where the communication broke down. I have brought both my pets here and spent over a thousand dollars recently at this clinic. I had been very pleased until this incident and would like to resolve this obvious billing error amicably.

  I have discussed my concerns with the business and wish to humbly retract my complaint. I concur with the business's stance that I could have resolved this issue in a more direct and thoughtful manner. I do wish to commend the professionalism of the office manager (***************************) as well as "****" for walking me through the misunderstanding and showing a great deal of kindness and patience in responding to my concerns. Finally, I do hope that the clinic knows that I never lost sight of their expert vets -- it was an issue of the cost of the medication.  These things said -- an amicable resolution has been set into place.
