Hello, my name is ******** ****** I want to know when it comes to a birth center here in Texas if they are suppose to have a type of COVID Policy plan..... they have a non-refundable payment plan by 35 week The only thing I signed was from the birth center stating the midwife can terminate my maternity care at her discretion as the week of my due date I started showing symptoms of COVID c4 days later I showed no more symptoms and with me not taken a test that 4th day at 3am my water broke I called my midwife.... All she told me was. I can't help you with you having these symptoms and she can only see me till I am fully 10 day fully recovered.sooooo searching all over north Texas ( I'm located in Oklahoma) I went to three hospitals and finally on the third they took me and I got to give birth the next day (5th day) while having contractions from 3am on the (4th day). After paying 5,600 I never would have thought I would have been refused. Just like hospitals. Couldn't a mask mandate be issued in the birth center? Just like the hospital? I am not getting no partial refund for this and for a first time mom trusting them. I was let down. I ask my midwife about a partial refund since technically the actually service (birth service) wasn't given and I was denied/refused service I didn't change route I was refused! I would gladly pay for the 9 times i was seen by her 7 monthly appts and 2 bi weekly but her stating that Covid is like having high blood pressure or another condition is the same...... with the day of my water breaking she just told me this 4 days after I told her of my symptoms. So how could she not have mentioned this possible denial days before my due date?Business response
