Business's administrative practices of filing dental claims have resulted in inflated fees so my overall dental bill is more than expected. For example, adding topical application of fluoride that were never done to purposely increase dental charges. I contacted their Kingwood representative on 01/21/20, Monica, and she indicated that starting in January of this year, the business will no longer handle the full processing of my insurance claims, i.e., filing the claim through primary and secondary insurance. The business provided me a detailed statement and their representative, verbally provided me with the breakdown of charges owed; that I owe $95.16 (for exam + deep cleaning, 05/20/21), for Veronica $33.19 (for exam + basic cleaning, 11/18/21), for Jacob $31.92 (for ortho treatment, contract ended in October, fully paid), and for Hannah $109.85 (for exam + basic cleaning, 12/28/21, claim still being processed). I have a comprehensive and expensive dental insurance (Federal employee program, high option) that renders significant benefits. All preventive type of services have a zero deductible. The ortho treatment was paid in full since October. For the deep cleaning i paid out of pocket $145.44. Finally, they made me paid PPE charges of $10, presumably due to the Pandemic; despite that i told them that it was covered by my insurance. I have many more examples that i can supply illustrating their deceiving practices that result in bogus dental charges. I have been a client of Made You Smile in Kingwood, Texas since January 2014. I have always met my financial obligations. In the past, I have also filed complains through the BBB to resolve billing issues with this business. I have also reiterated the business numerous times that i don't authorize any treatment or services (e.g., laser treatment, topical application of fluoride, etc.) outside the benefits provided by my dental insurance.
