I have bought 3 miniature Schnauzers from Lucky 7. I have only asked for their papers which I have not received. 2 of the 3 dogs had the wrong microchip number. Meghan and Chris do not answer the phone unless you are buying a dog. I am very disappointed with them. The reason you get a warranty for your dog is because they get a kickback from the food they sell. if you do not buy their food then the warranty is void. I think this should be illegal. They make promises they do not keep. I love my fur babies but these two should not be able to bread. I am going to get my dogs checked because I believe I was lied to and not full breeds. If I am wrong I will gladly take back this statement. Everything is 100% the truth. I would love to talk to anyone about the dogs. I hope I get a call from Meghan but if not I will let everyone know. I purchased a male mini schnauzer in June of 2003. At that time I was given a 10 year health guarantee for the health of the puppy. This guarantee specifically mentions life threatening birth defects or genetic defects. It also gives a list of things not covered. A part of the guarantee is that I was to feed the dog a specific type (brand) of food which he has been eating since I bought him home six years ago. There is a significant expense in doing this but I felt if I was being offered a 10 year health guarantee it was money well spent. In June of 2023 I took ****** (the above mentioned dog) to the vet because the groomer had found a loose tooth during his grooming. At the time of his vet visit they mentioned possibly 4 loose teeth. He was then scheduled for a cleaning and further exam and so those teeth could be removed. On June 14 2023 he went in for the procedure. At this time they found and extracted 19 teeth that were loose. The vet writes in his follow up notes that I received after the procedure that “he has weakened periodontal bone that is a sign of a chronic degenerative problem that may be related to problems with calcium metabolism, such as insufficient calcium or vitamin D in the diet, excess phosphorus in the diet, a genetic predisposition for kidney disease.” I have tried multiple attempts to contact the breeder to hopefully work with her. She has not responded to any emails, and her phone is now disconnected. I feel that since ****** has been eating properly that this falls under the guidelines of the health guarantee. The bill for the initial exam was $58. The bill for the procedure was $711.74, all of which I am seeking compensation for from Lucky 7 Schnauzers. I have written documentation from the vet which I can provide if necessary. Also I need to mention that I had paid for the puppy prior to pick up and the day of pick when she handed him to me I was informed that he had a procedure to repair what was referred to as a bubble in his umbilical cord. At that time she didn’t act concerned about it and I didn’t know any better so I was like ok. To this day he has what the vet calls a hernia where that repair was done. I wonder now if that umbilical cord issue in his early days played any part in the nutrition part of this mentioned by the vet.
