I met with Amber and had an initial consultation to retain the services of Brown Family Law. I liked her and trusted her and decided to retain their services for the $5000 retainer fee. I was then emailed and told David H**** would be my lawyer. I had never met him and still have never met him. I explained my child custody and support case. We came up with a plan. I sent him a thorough accounting with documentation that he requested. I don't think he read it, but I was charged for him reading it. Every time we spoke or conversed through email after I sent the information, it became evident he had not read it. He filled out a Motion to Enforce with dummy data and the wrong divorce date. I was charged for him filling out this form. I emailed him and told him the date was wrong. I was charged for him reading that email. He asked me for the correct data. I calculated it again and was charged for him reading the email where I sent the data over to him. The data had been provided in the original documentation request as well. At one point during this, I sent him a bill of sale letting him know one of the cars had sold. He responded to that email. After that exchange, I was asked 4 more times if the car had sold. Each time I said yes and provided details. Each time I was charged for these interactions. I eventually emailed Amber (the original lawyer I spoke with) and the owner of the law firm with this information and said I want a different lawyer or to be refunded so I can go somewhere else. I did not receive a response from them. Instead I received a response from David that wasn't factual and it was clear he didn't know he was replying to me on the email. Which makes sense as his lack of attention to detail has cost me $4189.

I have not been refunded and havent heard anything back from the company. They advised they would be in touch with me. I emailed them again on 6/13/2022 and still have not received a response.
