I had an appointment with this place on 3/1 to which we went over that I have sleep apnea and that the mouth piece they sold and all of the follow up adjustments would benefit me. I was told from the get go that they took my insurance. When I was there, they went over how much my insurance was going to pay and how much I would need to pay. I was fitted for a mouth piece that day and it was sent off to be made. A few weeks had gone by and I had not heard from them. I called and spoke with the front desk whose name is Mirsha. Mirsha told me that the insurance had denied the CLAIM that they sent for the mouth piece and they were trying to figure out why. A few more weeks go by and I still have not heard from them so I call again. At this point I am told that my insurances denied the CLAIM and that she was going to speak with the provider on what next steps should be. A few mores weeks go by and I still have not heard so I call again. At this point she tells me that I am responsible for the payment that my insurance denied. I hung up and called my insurance, who then made a group call with sound sleep and told them that no matter what plan I am in, they are not in network. Sound sleep even gave BCBS their NPI number and reference number and pre-authorization number. According to my insurance, a pre authorization was never sent, and they do not have their NPI or any reference numbers she has in their system. They went back and forth about being in network or not. As I stated according to BCBS, they do not even exists in their system. And now they are trying to charge me for the mouth piece that I do not even have in my possession. I highly believe that this business is just scamming people by saying they take insurance when I have strong beliefs that their whole system is fraud and they are scamming people out thousands of dollars. The portion I paid was $1,145 but the total for the piece is $3,145. I was told insurance would cover $2,000
