      I bought a "Magnificent Motion" recliner sofa from Bassett. It is not magnificent and I am not happy with this sofa at all. I have had service here twice and they keep telling me there is nothing they can do to fix the problems I am having. The sofa makes a disturbing noise when you recline. Leather on leather they say. Well I have had 2 leather recling sofoas prior to this very expensive one and never experienced this rubbing noise. I paid for the upgrade on the cushions and I have wrinkles in all three seats. Service says they are "comfort wrinkels" and they can't fix it. I wouldn't mind if these large wrinlkels disappered when not in use but no, you are left with 3 permanent areas in the middle of each cushion sofa cushion and the sofa is less than a year old! I asked if they could replace the cushions with covering that is fitted better to avoid this and the answer was no. Why wouldn't Bassett even want to try to satisfy their customers? I think the upgraded cushions were meant for this sofa and maybe that is why there is noise and cushions that don't fit well. Very poor customer service on their part! I want to alert anyone considering this sofa before they buy so they are aware and are not as dissapointed as I have been.

      Buyer beware! Save your money and go to ****** ********* or ******* *** ******** to buy couches. They are cheaper and hold up better than Bassett Furniture. Bassett does not stand by its products. I paid $5k for 2 couches on sale for my family room. I paid a surcharge to change to a “performance” fabric. Within 2 months I called the manufacturer to tell them about the abnormal wear and tear on the fabric and cushions. I was told that pilling is normal and not covered under warranty. They sent me a tool to scrape the fabric to remove the pilling. It’s been 9 months and the fabric looks like I had the couches for 10 years. My *** couches did not look this bad when I replaced them after 12 years. We have 2 adults and no children in my household. In my opinion, the fabric is not suitable for upholstery and the cushions are substandard. Customer service refuses to do anything further about the fabric. I will never buy anything from Bassett again and will take every opportunity to tell people about my experience.

      I spent a large amount of money on a cheaply made bedroom set from Basset last year in 2023. I have had to fight with Basset to make them honor their warranty on workman ship and defects . It has not been an easy nor smooth process. Buyer beware. Today I received a call from the store manager Christi **** who had a serious attitude and hung up in my face because the conversation did go the way she wanted it to. Very childish behavior and not professional at all. The furniture I bought was of poor quality and high price. In less than 3 months it began to fall apart. The handles on my dresser are misaligned and the sides of both nightstands and buckling. I have strings hanging out of the holes in my dresser a year after ordering the item so that I can open each drawer. Drawer don’t close flush and a whole list of other issues that they have been unable to fix . If you want to purchase quality furniture I would suggest you shop elsewhere because if you buy her you may end up with some pieces of junk and a side of attitude and poor customer service . Store management needs serious customer experience training. Christi **** that’s you. Our last conversation showed me your total lack of training and I wish to have absolutely no future interact with you .

      I too am very disappointed in Bassett furniture quality of furniture. I could’ve done better at *** **** and save the money. I’ve been sitting on furniture all my life I’m 68 years old. I purchased two of the same sofas both of them one and a half years ago. It feels like the service have been sat in for 100 years. It is only me I have no children no pets no stains on the sofas, they’re in good condition you sit in it you plop down but you’re sitting in a, beanbag sofa horrible yes I’ve discussed it with them. Yes they changed the core to the cushions. It does the same thing thoroughly disgusted with the quality of the furnishings. I’m glad I wrote this review. It’s a really bothered me that I had to spend this kind of money on crap .

      Purchased a bench made motion sofa from Bassett in January of 2023 for over $5000. It is a terrible sofa - you can not sit on it comfortably. The recliners are tilted to the side and the back pillows are so large they pitch you forward. Customer service has been no help. Do not buy this sofa! You will regret it!!

      my sofa fell apart after 2 years seams ripped feathers constanly comming out of fabric,the people in *************** ** knew of the problem within thevfirstvyear and did nothing.They dont stand behind anything

      HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. BUYER BEWARE. The salesperson, Tammy *****, in *********** ******* completely lied to us about the furniture we purchased. We didn't have the time to wait several weeks to custom order bedroom furniture so we bought some pieces that Ms. ***** said were already made and available to ship. Now, we are told that it will still be five weeks before we can get them because they are coming ALL THE WAY from California. Spoke with Ed (because Tammy ***** promised to call back and never did) and he said management says our only options are to cancel and pay 15% restocking fee or wait another 5 weeks. Cancelled because I don't do business with dishonest people. Bait and switch, deceptive business practices.

      Our Ready To Ship in stock items are given a lead time of 2-3 weeks ( Custom made to order 4-6). This is shown in stores and online. The purchase made was on December 16th. The items on the order are being transported from a regional fulfillment center where they were already made and were "ready to ship". The items ordered are actually in transit from California and could not be stopped on 12/21 when the cancellation request was processed. Based on this a restocking fee was assessed on the order. We work to honor all posted lead times and in this case would have provided the items under the timeframe promoted. We apologize for not being able to meet your home furnishings needs at this time, and look forward an opportunity to earn your business in the future.

      We purchased a sofa and love seat and upgraded fabric and to down cushions. It's awful! It doesn't feel at all like it did in the showroom. The furniture was delivered with dirt marks from the warehouse and we had to get someone out to assess it, but they said not to clean it as it would leave watermarks. I am going to pay it off and sell it! I should have gone back to ****** or ***** ***** like I did before. Don't waste your money.

      Another unhappy customer !!!! Bought a couch a year ago - ******** store . Sofa was hard and not what we e is Ted, but okay. Had indents in back panel of L sofa. Had service come out. Service said - this will probably happen again if it does just call . I bought guardian plan too. Well, it happened again, and customer service said -you are out of warranty. I explained this.was a preexisting situation that continues to happen. Would not service - said oh well, sorry . We could give you someone’s number fir you to pay to have it fixed. We also ordered a swivel chair - . Came in a mess. Cushion doesn’t fit correctly , chair crooked, sewn sloppy etc. Had service come out. Man said could not service. I had to argue with them to provide me with a new chair. Table chipped too- I thought Bassett was reputable- too many issues. Will never buy again ! Stay away !
