Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/11/10) */ The customer purchased a new washer and used dryer from us on August 25, 2022. It was delivered on August 30, 2022. The customer called the week of September 12, 2022 complaining that the new washer was making a knocking noise. The manager informed her that he would replace the washer with another NEW washer. The NEW washer was purchased and delivered to the customer on September 16, 2022. The new replacement washer was not only larger in capacity, but was also an upgrade in features from the original washer purchased. In addition to this, not only did the manager not charge any additional fee for upgrading the washer, but the customer was also not charged for delivery of the new replacement washer or removal of the original washer. Once the original washer was brought back to the warehouse, we performed a detailed inspection and tested the machine to see if it was not operating properly. No mechanical defects were observed. The washer not only worked properly with a large load of clothes, but was sold soon after and we have not received any complaints about it since. The customer called again on the week of October 31, 2022 complaining that the new replacement washer was making the same knocking noise as the original washer . The manager suggested since the washer was new and had a one year factory warranty, that she should contact the manufacturer to come perform a factory service call. We scheduled the factory service call for the customer and used her cell phone number as the point of contact. She stated that she was having problems with her phone, so we also sent her an email with the service call confirmation details. She called us a week later stating that the factory did not come out and that she wanted the washer picked up. The manager tried to give the customer troubleshooting advise, but was abruptly cut short with the reply that " I know how to wash," from the customer. The customer became very irate and demanded that she be refunded. The manager stated that he would refund her all of her money minus the delivery fee, but this did not satisfy the customer. She screamed that she wanted ALL of her money back. The customer called back on Monday 11/07/22 and asked when her items would be picked up and thereby receive her refund. The manager was out of the office at the time, but left a message to convey to the customer that after further review of the situation, it would be best that the factory come out to repair the washer. The customer then stated that she wanted her money back and that she would pursue this issue to the furthest extent to receive it.
