The Free Lance Star continually charges me $12.99. I have reached out to them in January and told them that I am being charged, when in reality I am supposed to only be charged $1.00 for 6 month or pay upfront approximately $30 for the whole year. I just got billed again for $12.99 and I want that refunded. I hate the fact that my bank card has to be locked until its resolved as I use my card all the time and it's unfair to me. It should only be one Free ***** Star account and that should be under the name of IA Jet, not *** which is what I am being charged for.

On December 8, I was asked by the Free-*************** agent at the Giant grocery story in ******** whether I wanted a one month Sunday issue trial. I said yes, as he also told me (and showed me on his device) that there is no commitment beyond one month ($13), and that my billing information is not going to be retained by their system. However, on 5 January, I was charged $13 for another month of membership (to which I did not agree), and when I went online to cancel my subscription, I was told to call the number for the service. I have been calling the number for the past week, and every time I get a message saying that due to the high volume of calls, they cannot take my call right now, after which the call is disconnected. Basically - I have no way to cancel this service, I was fraudulently subscribed to it for the period beyond 4 weeks, and nobody is responding to me. I have also sent an email to the service, but did not receive a response.

I was doing some research with my former high school came across an article in the Free Lance Star that was restricted. I saw no where to purchase the article but it offered a $26 week subscription for $1. I decided after I found what I needed I would just cancel the trail now so I would not forget later. As I read with the terms I could cancel anytime. I called the number ************ to cancel and a customer service agent named ******* answered. First, he could not find my number in the system. He then asked for my address and I told him that there was an account number could he use that. He then asked if I did the 6 week trial and said yes. He then proceeded to tell me that I was not allowed to cancel and that I was not in the system yet. He then told me per their terms I had to wait at least three months to cancel. I explained to him I read your terms and it said I could cancel anytime. I asked him to show me where it said that and he said he wouldn't not be able to do that. All I want is for this service to be cancelled, I do not plan on using it past the 6 months and if I do I'll pay whatever the service cost. The only sense it makes is that The Free Lance Star is hoping I forget that I have a subscription and I continue to pay for something I don't need.
