I booked a 1 night stay with comfort inn hillsville. When I arrived the hotel had no power. Why would they allow me to check in was beyond me. I was told power would be restored quickly and I would not be charged for my stay by the front desk associate. It was a miserable stay. They power was never restored. No lights, no a/c in the sweltering heat and then to our surprise no water. They claim a pipe burst on top of no electricity. I had to find another hotel that morning to shower and use the bathroom. I contacted *********** and comfort inn and neither are refunding me. I need this problem handled asap as this was unacceptable.Business response

Dear BBB,I am very sorry for the issue with the power, on that evening at 10:45 pm or so, the entire exit of ********** lost power due to a pole snapping in half and falling next to our hotel and ***** *. The entire exit was out of power until the next day. On top of that, at 6:45 am the following morning, due to power being out, the water had mixed in our pipe line with no power on, we had a main line bust on floor 1 by our elevator as that caused significant damage and we had a major flood on floor 1. There is no claim to it, we did have a pipe burst as I did have my plumbers and electrical maintenance here.We will not be issuing refund.Sincerely,Management
