Sent a fake contract to the finance company. Total interest is way higher now. Never sent the check I was owed. Its been monthsBusiness response

We never sent a fake contract to financing the company. Financing is done through an app and online only. Please see the timeline. On 8/11/22 customer signed a contract and financed the amount of $6,383.00. The financing is done on a separate contract directly with financing company--therefore we never sent a wrong contract to the financing company. On 8/16/22, customer had us back out and renegotiated the contract amount, paid a deposit, making his new financing amount of $5,171. We installed the project, and the customer told the financing company we did not install the project. After going back and forth with the financing company, and sending the financing company the contract and before and after completion pictures, the finance company released funds on 1/5/23 (When the financing company releases funds, it is combine with other projects we did, so we did not catch the discrepancy). We were notified on 3/15/23 that the finance company paid out the original financed contract of $6,383 and not the amended contract of $5,171. Both the customer and our office called the finance company trying to get them to adjust his payment amount. The finance company finally came back on 4/5/23 said we would need to issue a check for the difference. We confirmed the address the customer wanted us to send the check too and sent a check on 4/5/23. We needed to confirm the address, because the customer claimed he moved out of the house from a divorce. He asked us to send the check to the house that we contracted. On 5/27/23 the customer reached out to our office saying we never sent the check, which we did. 5/27/23 was a saturday on a holiday weekend, so we informed the customer we would cut another check and have to cancel the original check, but this time someone would have to sign for the check. We canceled the original check and sent a certified mailed check on tuesday 5/30/23, once we returned to the office from the holiday weekend. The check #***** was cashed on 6/5/23.

I paid half, $3,200, for an insulation job to be performed in my attic on August 3, and have not heard from the company about installation. I'm beginning to think I've been scammed! Check was made to Ridge Remodeling.Business response

Not sure why I am receiving this email?
the customer had their project scheduled and installed on 9/17/22. I am attaching pictures and signed completion form with 5 out of 5 rating. Also, these emails are being sent to an email that is not in use. Please update my work email as ******************@ridgerdm.com if you want faster response time.

I am rejecting this response because:they did not address the problem! I gave them a check on 8/3/22 for half payment, then did not hear from them until I called them in the middle of September. That's when 9/17 was scheduled and yes the did show up.I okayed the project but could only peek my head up in the attic because the ladder needs to be shortened. Called to address that situation 10/7 and was told the installation team would be in touch. As of today, the 14th, I have heard anything. They have been paid in full. Also, they do not clean up after their work. I braved going up on the ladder and discovered the mess they left behind. I took a few pictures. Their work was not as neat as prework photos i had been shown.
