Thank you Wall & Associates. I have had this issue for such a long time and I kept trying to deal with it on my own, and failing. It took longer than I wanted, but I blame that on me. My 'person' ***** was a kind, helpful, and non-judgmental. When she needed to remind me, she did and I never felt like she was ever blaming me. Now I feel like I can breathe and to live!Review from Janet M

Clarissa C******* has been a very big help to me the last several months in dealing with the ***, who said I owed them money that I did not owe. I had been receiving threatening letters from them since April of 2021. She finally got the case dropped, and I will be sent my 2021 federal income tax refund, which the *** took. I felt that Clarissa was well organized and patient, and she was very careful to contact the right people and do a good job. She was very reassuring while at the same time not giving me false hope. I would highly recommend her for any other legal assignment she does. ***** ********* .Wall & Associates, Inc. Response

Cynthia B*** and team at Wall & Associates are the absolute best at what they do! It may take some time to resolve a case, because the *** is a slow-moving government agency, but you can be assured that if something can be done to improve your outcome with the ***, Cynthia and her team will do it! I have just gotten life-changing news about an abatement of quite a bit in fines and penalties for failure to timely file some required forms. The up-front retainer and monthly fee was worth every penny. Cynthia or one of her team called and emailed me monthly with updates (or no updates) on the progress of my case. I'm ecstatic. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. ***** *******Wall & Associates, Inc. Response

I retained Wall and Associates in 2013 to represent my wife and myself against *** for an Audit. *** ended up auditing us for several tax years from 2011-2020. Every time I would contact their employees on our resolution team they would always assure me they were in contact with *** about a resolution. I paid them $**** down payment in 2013 for a retainer to start representing us. Our initial audit hearing with *** was by a conference call. Wall had a representative on the conference call but did not send a person to personally represent us at the audit hearing the audit hearing. We pretty much felt like we were by ourselves at the hearing. After the initial $**** retainer payment I was required to pay a $*** monthly representation fee. I paid the $*** monthly fee from mid 2013 and entire years of the following years, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, and most of 2020. According to my records we ended up spending upwards of approximately $****** over that time period in representation fees. In late summer 2021 I received notification from Wall & Associates that they were no longer going to represent us do to non payment of fees. I immediately contacted them and they advised me they tried contacting me by phone about the alleged delinquent fees did not get a in touch with me. I later found out they had my previous cell phone number and not my updated one. I admitted I should have given them my new cell number but my email was the same and had not changed. They did not bother to the best of my recollection to try to contact me by email. As this was going on they notified me our tax case had been assigned to an *** Revenue Officer which is the next step *** uses in enforcement action. When they made me aware of this my wife and I were livid and very upset. We hade paid Wall & Associates a large sum of money to negotiate a resolution with *** and basically that hadn't done anything to make our situation better. I terminated my relationship with them then.Wall & Associates, Inc. Response

The receipt of this negative feedback prompted a thorough review of the circumstances surrounding Mr. *****’ case. After carefully scrutinizing the facts, our office discovered significant omissions in this review. In fact, the circumstances that resulted in the length of the case and the inability to ultimately obtain a successful resolution are entirely excluded. This case was both complex and labor intensive. This rebuttal to Mr. ******* claims is an earnest attempt to properly summarize the most crucial details. Mr. ***** obtained our services in 2013. At this time, he was subject to three open audits being conducted by the ***. By disallowing several significant claims of unreimbursed employee expenses, medical expenses, and charitable contributions; the client would see a combined three-year tax refund of $****** turn into an additional assessed tax of a combined $******, not counting additional penalties. Our office worked directly with the *** auditor during this time and made a diligent effort to see these amounts minimized. Unfortunately, the information provided to our office by Mr. ***** would fail to substantiate the claims on these tax returns. It was Mr. *****’ position that multiple tax preparers working on these returns were at fault as a part of a scheme to obtain a portion of the sizable refunds he received. Our office regularly and in detail explained the fact that we would be severely limited in our resolution options if he continued to pyramid balances. Despite our continued efforts to see Mr. ***** obtain compliance, he would continue to owe year after year. This was a combination of insufficient withholdings and a failure to make proper estimated tax payments. In fact, our office was able to confirm with Mr. ***** in early 2015 that he has made a proper estimated tax payment and would continue to do so. With this information in hand, we submitted a Doubt as to Collectability, Offer in Compromise on his behalf. Not only would he fail to continue to properly stay in compliance (owing an additional amount when 2015 was filed) but the *** would open additional years for an audit review during our attempts to reduce Mr. *****’ tax liability. Additional taxes were assessed for the 2015 tax year, the 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019 filings would result in a liability due to insufficient withholdings. At the end of Mr. *****’ relationship with our company, his tax liability had exceeded $*******. After a lengthy review of the events surrounding Mr. *****’ claims in regard to his interaction with our accounting department, the circumstances do not match. During the global pandemic our office offered certain clients in a financial hardship an opportunity to temporarily pause paying our monthly fee. We closely monitored these cases and continued to respond to vital deadlines and potential collection action. Our office granted this status to Mr. ***** in May of 2020 and regularly followed up in the subsequent months. Our accounting department spoke with Mr. ***** in August of 2020 and followed up with calls and emails without a response until April of 2021. During the six-month span Mr. ***** made no attempt to reach out to our accounting department, his case was closed for non-payment. When he did contact our office, he received multiple months of fee waivers and his case was re-activated. It was within weeks of our customer service gesture that Mr. ***** made the decision to end services with our company and seek other representation.Customer Response

After I terminated my representation with Wall and Associates I retained a highly regarded tax attorney here i Dallas are me where I live. I had to end up filing Ch.7 Bankruptcy to get some of the tax debt discharged, which is in the process of happening. The tax attorney that I have retained has done a much better job of representation and keeping me updated on a resolution with ***. I would recommend for now on that if a person has a tax issue with *** retain a tax attorney and DO NOT retain an out of town tax litigation firm with a 1-800 phone number.. It was money to retain them that I basically felt I threw away. I would not recommend Wall and Associates to anyone in the future..Review from Robert K

Wall & Associates resolved my tax situation and I'm so relieved. My tax burden, State and Federal, ended significantly lower! My representative and team were with me every step of the process. Always contacted me whenever something arose to keep me informed and was quick to get back to me when I had a question. My representative did his due diligence and was always forthcoming. I was always told what to expect and it was correct every time. Payments for services are monthly and unfortunately, communication did drag a bit on the Government side of things due to COVID-19 slow down. However Wall & Associates was professional and did as they claim.Wall & Associates, Inc. Response
