I purchased two platinum seats to see a band, ********** at Chartway. The total was ******** Apparently the venue switched to the ****** another facility in the Norfolk area a week or two before the concert. Chartway did not email, nor contact me about the change. I found out about the change the night before the concert wehn I went to look at my tickets. The concert was now sold out. I called Chartway, they were willing to do a full refund but then I would NOT have been able to see the band as tickets were now sold out. Tickets at the ***** were *** per person and were General Admission only. I requested that Chartway refund the difference of approximately ******** they would not do it, they would only refund in full. My contention is that CHartway failed on all levels to provide notice that the venue had changed, giving me a chance to purchase tickets at the reduced price, leaving me no choice but to either miss the concert or pay a heavy premium for a service (the platinum seating that I did not receive)Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/06/03) */ The **** ****** concert originally scheduled for Chartway Arena was moved to another local venue, The ****** Chartway Arena notified all ticket holders of the change via email on April 22 and posted the update to the venue website, venue's ticketing website, and social media. A reminder email was sent to all ticket holders on May 2. Refunds were available until May 2 at 11:59pm. Information on refunds were well publicized in advance of the show. Additionally, platinum ticket purchasers who did not opt for a refund were contacted via email on May 3 offering them early entry into the new venue, which would have allowed for a better location within the venue. Any additional request for refunds should be directed to the venue/promoter that hosted the event.
