I placed a order with DiOrio mfg - Mr. Anthony Di Orio beginning of february to order tuners for small bore rifles. i paid USD 977.18 on February 8, 2023 via ******. we agreed to have the goods shipped to my friend in ********** which i was going to visit in mai to pick up the goods. the goods have not arrived and i got back to mr Di Orio which told me they were shipped and the parcel got lost. but he agreed to get the goods shipped diretly to me in ***********. since then i have contacted him about every month and have received an new excuse every time. i would like to have the goods now, or get my money back. please help me in this matter.Business response

The merchandise ordered was paid for on 02/09/2023 via ****** by the customer however the shipping company lost the parcel during transit, the order was shipped via **** on 03/06/2023. We subsequently filed a claim with **** after being notified by the customer in mid-May. The customer resides in *********** and was here in the States visiting when he placed the original order. We informed the customer we would ship a replacement order to his address in *********** he provided in his May email correspondence. The replacement order was never shipped due to oversight on our part caused by some personal matters I've had to deal with over the past year. After receiving the first notification from the BBB, we packaged up a replacement shipment but were contacted by a third party via email. The third-party entity, **** *******, stated the original order was placed by the complainant on his behalf and he instructed us to ship the replacement order to him instead of the original person who paid for the merchandise. In my email response to the third party, I copied the complainant, and informed the third party I would need to receive authorization from the complainant to ship the replacement order to him. On 11/21/2023 I received an email from the complainant authorizing the shipping of the replacement goods to the third party, I've attached that email correspondence. On 11/21/2023 a replacement shipment was sent via **** Priority Mail International, tracking number *************. As of 11/25/2023, the package was at the ISC NY Customs Center awaiting clearance to be forwarded to the third party. The status of the package can be tracked by visiting ****.com and entering the tracking number provided in the tracking field. I hope this resolves the matter as we have met our obligation by providing a replacement shipment to the complainant's third-party contact.Initial Complaint

I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with DiOrio Mfg, Co. and the terrible experience I have had with this company. I sent approximately $3000 in December 2020 to purchase a custom 22 rifle, and over two years and four months later, I have yet to receive the product I paid for. Despite numerous emails and promises that the gun had been shipped, Mr. Anthony DiOrio has been unresponsive and has failed to provide a tracking number for the shipment. It appears that my purchase was either never shipped or was lost by ***, but I have received no resolution or compensation from DiOrio Mfg, Co. What is particularly frustrating is the complete lack of communication from Mr. DiOrio. He does not return phone calls or text messages, making it impossible to get any information or assistance with this issue. I feel completely ignored and ripped off by this company. I would caution anyone considering doing business with DiOrio Mfg, Co. to be extremely careful and aware of the risks involved. My experience has been a complete disappointment, and I would not recommend this company to anyone. I hope that the Better Business Bureau will take appropriate action to investigate and address these concerns.Business response

After investigating this, we found the order was shipped to the customer in April of 2021, however the package was lost by the shipping carrier and the customer did not receive the merchandise they paid for. We've filed a claim with the shipping carrier and will contact the customer to inquire whether they still want the merchandise. The last correspondence I received from the customer was in July of 2022, we have not followed up with them since that date and apologize for the lack of communication and resolution to this issue. We will either ship the merchandise to the customer's receiving agent or issue a refund for the monies received on the order.Customer response

I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I do not accept the response offer made by the business as stated. I still want the merchandise originally ordered with an estimated delivery date in addition to direct communication from the business owner. Out of town until Tuesday May 23rd and will contact you that morning to confirm you still want the firearm. This has to be shipped to a FFL we can not ship direct to a person out of state. We will need an updated copy of the FFL of where to send the firearm. Once we receive this it will only take a couple of days to assemble and then we can get this shipped.Initial Complaint

In December of 2021 I sent DiOrio Mfg a rifle barrel and trigger for DiOrio to build me a barreled action using DiOrio’s Turbo V3 action with a barrel tuner. Spoke with ******* numerous times to confirm my desired configuration and provide payment details. On Feb 8, 2022 I was charged $1850.85 which was the agreed upon amount. Over the next three months I was told that the rifle was complete but for various reasons ******* was unable to get it shipped out. To this day I still have not received my rifle after being promised numerous times that it would ship. Now ******* is not returning my call or responding to my emails.Business response
