I bought a 2016 ***** impala on September 1st of last year ******* miles January of this year the car started shuddering really bad. I took it to my mechanic he told me to take it back to the dealership I got it from immediately because it was the transmission. Ive driven the car to & from work everyday. When I took it to the dealership they tried to tell me it was my tires then told me it was probably because I had put ****** miles on it. I drive a lot for work. I feel as if I was taken advantage of being only ********************************************************************************** maybe something was wrong with the car. I had trusted the dealership & the person that sold it to me. My mechanic told me it shouldnt have a problem like this with this low of miles. I had the car only 4 months before it started messing up and now at 6 months I need a whole new transmission not a torque converter. I would like the transmission replaced or they buy the car back. I cant afford my monthly payments along with the amount it would be to fix it. I drive an hour to & from work & now I have no car.Business response

Tappahannock Chevrolet sold ********************** a 2016 Chevrolet Impala on 9/5/2023 with ******* miles. At the time of sale, we gave ********************** a 6 month/6,000 mile powertrain warranty and we also offered for her to purchase an extended warranty to cover mechanical issues for 48 months or ****** miles, which she declined. ********************** came in on 1/30/2024 for our service department to check the car for a vibration when accelerating. At this time, the vehicle had ******* miles on it. Our service department determined that the car needed to have the torque converter replaced, and we gave her an estimate of $2465.46 to cover the repairs. ********************** declined the repairs at that time. ********************** purchased a used vehicle and declined to purchase an extended warranty to cover these such issues. She drove the car for ****** miles with no issues. I am sorry that ********************** has had these issues, but we are in no way obligated to cover these repairs or repurchase this vehicle.
