I made an appointment with a cosmetic surgeon with whom I know recall from my **** ******* bank transactions as *********** *****. I remember making an appointment with a cosmetic surgery office but later couldn’t remember where I wrote the appointment down. The office never asked me to sign any documents and they never sent me any appointment notice, email or text up until a few days ago in which I noticed a text for discounted procedures due to them relocating their office. I tried to call them but the call went to their voicemail which has been full the past several days. On August the 7th, I noticed a charge for $150 which now posted in my account. I would have went to the appointment if I had a paper trail, email or text reminding me of the appointment or I would have canceled it or I would have called to get the appointment time and date if I knew their name, but since I did not receive any appointments or even missed appointments I feel I was scammed out of my deposits.

The patient was told about our no show policy and fee of $150 when she made her appointment and gave us her card information. We sent her an appointment reminder and reminder of the no show fee for her 8/7 appointment on 8/3 and 8/5. She then made another appointment on 8/15 where she received treatment and we actually applied the $150 fee she paid towards the treatment, which we informed her about as well. Therefore, there is no need for a refund as that $150 paid was put towards her services which she agreed to. In the invoice attached, there was a $100 discount for a special we were having and the remainder $150 discount was the fee she had paid.

Since September 2022, Winchester ENT Center in Winchester, Virginia, has been billing me for a $50 "no-show" fee, even though I showed up for the appointment in question (September 15, 2022), and even though staff said that Dr. ***** wouldn't see me until I paid the bill from my ear surgery just two weeks prior. Winchester ENT is approximately 30 miles from my home. I have no medical history with Dr. *********/Winchester ENT, except for three scheduled appointments—all of which I kept. I walked out of the appointment on September 15 because of their prepayment requirement and the fact that *******, the receptionist, breached my privacy rights by speaking to me about this issue in an extremely small waiting area, where at least four other people heard our conversation. This office gave me no advance notice that I would have to pay the balance before my follow-up appointment. Because of the extremely unprofessional way that office staff handled this issue, I left several minutes later. Fifteen minutes after I left, I called the office and spoke to ******, the nurse and office manager. However, she did nothing to rectify the problem. I told ****** that I wouldn't be returning to see Dr. ***** because it seems that he places more importance on getting paid than caring for his patients. I also informed her that ******* breached my privacy rights. Since that time, I've filed three disputestwo by phone and one by email. In spite of this, I received another bill from Winchester ENT Center for the $50 "no-show" charge today. I'm asking Winchester ENT to remove the $50 "no-show" charge from my bill. I'd like to add that I've paid a total of $392.79 for this procedure, not including my co-pay on the day of surgery. However, this information isn't properly reflected on the bills I've received.

The $50.00 no show fee has been waived as courtesy. The patient was never asked to pay her amount in full, she was kindly asked if she could make a payment towards her balance.
