I am writing in regards to our move from ** to **. Despite what their website states, Chase requires a 30+% deposit. Due to the price of the move I asked several times to let me know when they were going to charge so I could alert the bank. They proceeded to send me an invoice and charge my card during my closing. When that failed, they left me a threatening note that my delivery was the following day (a lie). I contacted the bank, and let them know about the charge, they made a change to allow the charge, but it wasn't instant as they told me. Chase tried again, and it failed. Chase then proceeded to try charging a bunch of different amounts without my consent, and triggered a fraud alert. It was finally resolved that evening. In the meantime, looking at the invoice, Chase is illegally charging credit card fees on purchases made by debit. They refused to refund the illegal fee because of the mess they made with the bank. The ******* that showed up was hard working, they seemed to take care with our belongings. When we got to SC the experience was much worse. The driver had 3 movers meet at our house. The 3 worked for 4 hours. They explained to me that they were all homeless, and kept trying to get guns from me. While they were working, they were not calling numbers correctly so the inventory was impossible, even if the ******* had labeled the boxes. After 4 hours, all 3 guys left and never returned. The driver tried for 8 hours to get help, and finally got someone around 10:30 pm. In the mean time, the 2 of us unloaded the truck. He also mentioned that customer packed boxes are deemed crushable, and crushed they were. Almost every box marked fragile had footprints on top, as did guitar cases. The contents of the couple of boxes Chase packed also arrived ********** the very least, Chase/Wheaton owe an apology and at least a $2k refund for my compensation unloading the truck, inconvenience, illegal credit card fees, and broken belongings.

We requested a quote from Chace Moving and Storage for our move from ******, *******, to ******, *******. The quote was $3477.67, including using the truck, travel, packaging, and labor. We were very surprised/outraged when our final charges were 4665,95. This price increase represents over $1200, a 34% increase from the estimate. The operations manager, *****, stated two primary reasons for the price increase. Both had to do with labor. ***** responded in an email, "They elaborated on the difficulty that they had getting up your driveway ( which we spoke about briefly on the phone )and your availability at the door while they unloaded the truck. The crew stated that you were preoccupied during the delivery and had to constantly ask for directions with pieces as they came through the door." In reality, it only added about 10 minutes as they maneuvered into the driveway that had been plowed, snow blown, and cleared of snow that morning to make it easier on them. On *****'s second topic, I was literally on the truck and helping them take stuff out. They estimated the delivery to take about 2.7 hours for three men. The reality was they charged ***** hours. When asking phone ***** what the cost was for such an inaccurate estimate, he stated simply repeated what he said in email. Furthermore, the movers missed placed some screws to reassemble our daughter's crib. They searched for 45 minutes after the truck was unloaded and even blamed us for unpacking the part box. The screws to the crib were in with the crib mattress in a bag and we were charged for the time that they were searching for them. The company automatically charged my card an additional $1287 never communicating that there was a significant increase from the estimate. They only sent a final invoice once I questioned the additional charge to my card.
