I purchased a 2014 ******** E350 in early May from their dealership including a $1,700 down payment, I was told the purchase was final. ***** (the Finance Sales Manager) explained that he just needed me to keep resigning documents that I already signed, explaining that they made errors and had to fix them for my lender, ************** Services, to approve. I had to return to the dealership 2 more times to sign documents I had signed, I also had to Docusign the registration again because of "errors." It turned out I was never approved for my loan and this was not communicated. On top of that, the car came with undisclosed mechanical issues that would be obvious to any mechanic and the dealership made no mention. When ***** and Sports Car International finally told me the loan fell through and they need to search for a new one, I decided to unwind the deal to which the dealership proceeded to take $700 of my $1,700 down payment, I explained to them the law directly from the Washington state ************************* website, they created excuses for why they needed to keep it (this is after I invested into the car including a new battery, $700 service, new gas cap, etc). The lies on top of lies, this business swindles people without a single care and will lie to your face to steal from you. I only signed off to get my $1,000 because they refused to budge and I didn't want to walk away without any of my down payment back.Business response

I bought a car 2013 ***** Camaro from sports cars international on march 27 2024. I was never told about any of the issues the car had and nothing got pointed out to me. I reached out to the business multiple times and left a review on ****** that they scammed me were ignoring me. Not returning my calls or emails. Now Im stuck with a $19828.26 car loan and a car with many issues. There is a gurgling noise coming from the dash. There are 3 different size tires on the vehicle and all low tred one tires has a leak repair and is getting bigger. And all the **** sensors are missing and **** light is flashing. There is no wheel lock key to the wheels and no spare. There are many dents and cracks in the body of the vehicle. The trunk leaks when it rains. The brakes on the car are very bad. The steering wheel vibrates at freeway speed. The *** plug is damaged so no shop would be able to communicate with the car. I have the inspection form that proves all this.Business response

we have offered support on multiple levels however the customer is borderline stocking our dealership. Every email and phone call is from another person. You simply will not deal with this. The car purchaser may reach out directly. We are happy to help with her repairs and provide them wholesale service on parts and labor. This will be their expense, but a great savings in any repairs that the vehicle may need.Initial Complaint

On 7/9/2021, I purchased a 2013 ****** *** from Sports Cars International (SCI). SCI never disclosed that the car had been in an accident where the front end was rebuilt. Recently, I attempted to trade the *** in for a new vehicle and the ****** dealer informed me that, because of the undisclosed accident, the vehicle was worth half of what I had paid for it. Due to the low trade-in value, I was unable to purchase the new vehicle. If I had known about the accident, I would not have paid SCI's asking price for the vehicle.Business response

All of SCI's vehicles are inspected for quality value and safety. Hence the 2-3 years you spent driving it. Our website offers free vehicle reports for all vehicles. Unfortunately there is nothing we can do to help youCustomer response

I am rejecting this response because: while the vehicle was drivable, it immediately required a new clutch and all fluids replaced. I understand that is part of purchasing a used vehicle. However, my complaint is that the car had been in a prior accident which was not disclosed at the time I purchased it. The purchase price of the vehicle was much higher than what I should have paid for a car that had been in an accident.
Sincerely,

I purchased a vehicle on 9/20/2023. After the price was agreed upon, I was told I had to purchase a theft protection policy. I told them I didn't want that policy, but was told it was required, Co policy. I wanted the vehicle, so I proceeded with the purchase, but expressed I shouldn't have to buy this policy since I already had insurance via Progressive. I completed the purchase. The policy is suppose to pay off the car loan if stolen, but not the entire balance, the dealer keeps *******. This was a 5yr policy. A few weeks later after thinking about this theft policy, I called NSD, the company holding the policy. On 10/27/23 I canceled the policy and was told the dealer would be providing the refund. I waited several weeks but had not seen a refund, so towards the end of November, I call the dealer and left messages on several occasions, asking them to call me, but they never called back. In December did the same thing, no return call. All this time, they are still advertising the car I purchased back in September. I finally reached the salesman who sold me the car, asked him to have the manager call me regarding the refund, but never heard a word from them. Fast forward to 1/22/24, I talked to *******, I think that was his name, explained the situation. He told me the manager wanted me to send him the cancel notice from NSD. I did that. (They should have received that back in October when i canceled it). Still nothing. On 1/31/24 I called again looking for the refund check. Was told it's in the mail. As of 2/13/24, still no check. I just want my refund, which is ****** plus tax. The dealer told me that policy is non refundable but there is nothing in the contract that states that. I have verified with NSD several times that the policy was canceled, so I want a refund of that policy.Business response
02/13/2024
These policies are integral to the *** sales process and are non-negotiable. *** does not make exceptions for the removal or refund of these policies under any circumstances. If *** permits cancellations, that aligns with their policy, not ***s. We apologize for any frustration youre experiencing and encourage you to contact our corporate number for further assistance and detailed information from our management team.Customer response

Complaint: 21284865
I am rejecting this response because: there is nothing in the contract that I signed that says I can't cancel it. If it's non cancellable, it should state that in the contract. Also, if *** is not suppose to cancel the policy, that should be made clear to them by Sports Cars International. According to ***, the policy has been canceled, it cannot be reinstated nor do I want it reinstated. I was told by *******, one of the employees that a check was in the mail, which at this point appears to be a lie. Also it appears to be a very dishonest dealership. What else have they lied about. I don't have a policy and want a refund, and will settle for nothing less. Also, why did the manager request that I send him a copy of the Cancellation i have from *** if he had no intention of providing a refund. It appears no one at this dealership can be trusted. I want a refund. You are holding my money without a policy.
Sincerely,

Complaint: 21284865
I am rejecting this response because: Your Manager, *****, requested a copy of the cancelation on 1/22/24. I emailed it. I called on 2/2/24 spoke to one of your employee who told me a check was sent out the week of 1/22/24. So as I have stated before, they lied. So, it appears your employees can't be trusted. What kind of business are you running. I think it's herendous that you won't refund money that is not yours since the policy, as stated before, has been canceled. I could understand if the contract stated that canceling was not an option, but there is nothing that indicates that. I am still expecting a refund.*************************

It appears that **** at Sportscar international encourages a culture of dishonesty at this dealership. He seems to be ok with the lies that his employees tell. Again, I was told a refund check was being sent when they had no intention of doing so. That is unforgivable.

July 21, 2021 I purchased a **** ***** Silverado from sports car international. I live in *********** not **************** where the dealership is located so I had to make plans to go look at the truck the next day. They required a $1,000 hold fee which I payed through my ***** ********** account using my debit card. I was asked to text photo copy of my drivers license and debit card which I did. The salesman asked me if the truck would be titled to me, my response was it would be titled to *********************************** and *************************. Not or. The original title they sent was sent addressed to ************************* to an old address I lived at years before. I never gave them that address. The address I provided them with is the same address Im at today, ********************************** drove the truck back to ***** straight to where he lives and then had a no trespass put on me so I couldnt get the truck I had purchased. July 21,2023 I gave sports car international a cashiers check for the remainder of the cost of the truck, the check was for, $13,681.00 that I had my bank, ***** Fargo issue. ************************* was, has never been in any way on my bank account. I am solely who purchased this truck, ************************* was added to the title by me. Recently ************************* contacted sports car international and they agreed to send him a new title addressed to him at his address. They told me a few days ago he was the buyer and that the title is written as: ************************* or ***********************************. Sports Car international is enabling and responsible in helping him to steal this vehicle from me. The owner ******* is extremely rude and when I spoke with him via phone he wouldnt let me speak and when I said to him, excuse me, but can I speak he hung up on me.Business response

I havent responded because today was the first time I was notified that sports car international had replied to my complaint. Ive read their answer and what they claim is that theyve issue two titles and we lost them. That is incorrect; the first one they sent after I purchased the truck was sent to an old address I had lived at years prior on 2nd St ******* **. The address I provided them with was ***************************************** **. I sent the sales person, ****** a text message 5 days, July 26, 2021 after I bought the truck letting him know that the address on the paperwork was incorrect. Further more I also told him that **** had never been a resident at the 2nd St address in *******. in the same text I questioned him about why I was addressed as a co-buyer when I was the one who purchased the truck and I was the one adding **** to the title. As for receiving a second title they claim they sent, where was it sent to? Not to me.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:I cannot lose something I never received!!! Your response was you provided multiple titles that were lost by "us" and your solution is you would provide another at my expense, to the cash purchase ($14,681.00) thats fourteen thousand dollars, six hundred eighty-one dollars of the truck I bought from Sports Car International over 2 years ago. I feel like such a broken record after saying, telling, showing the txt I sent the salesman 5 days after I bought the truck that he had the wrong address on the paperwork. What part of that does this dealership not understand? That was the first and only title I know of by hat was ever sent. Again I repeat that I sent the salesman ****** a text message 5 days after driving the truck of your lot when I noticed some of the paperwork I had had an incorrect address on them to tell him they were using a different address than what I had provided to him and that I had wrote on any paperwork I filled out on July 21, 2021. I have emailed, called for over two years. I never said or wrote the address you sent the first title to, which was and address in ********************. I live in *************** and have for years. You said you sent a second title to my truck to ************************* who you had spoken to on the phone and when I spoke to you a couple months ago **** you flat out said to me that he was the purchaser AND the owner of the truck I personally purchased from Sports Car International. You told me during that phone conversation that you had gone way beyond to take care of this. Thats a flat out lie! Sistine the salesman who took care or who should have taken care of the transaction properly did not, he was a brand-new salesperson for your business, and he had to keep running off to see ****, the manager to ask questions. I never never gave him. ******* address! I was also the person paying in cash for this truck, the sole person, sole buyer, not ************************* as your salesperson did the paperwork and put him down as the buyer. I bought this truck, no one else. Please do pay attention to the text messages between ****** and I on July 20, 2021 when he ask me about how I wanted the title to read. It clearly states I wanted it in my name and to add *************************. Im sorry but that doesnt/didnt say or mean he was a buyer and also a copy of the cashiers check in the amount of $13,681.00 sent from my bank to my email account. ********************** Car International has enabled ************************* to steal this truck from me. He recently called you ***** and convinced you to send him a second title addressed to him in ************ ***** *****, you told me this yourself. Your serious unprofessional mistakes has cost me $15,000.00. Do you understand how much money that is?
I did not create this mess, your inexperienced sales guy and your office staff did.
As of today the truck is unregistered, uninsured and has been traded by ************************* to *****************, a convicted repeat felon for a Harley ******** being built by ***************** as a trade to my truck. He has been seen driving my truck by multiple people.
According to WA DMV the owner of the **** Silverado is Sports Car International. I gave you almost $15,000.00 over two years ago for a truck that today is still in your name! And don't give me the same excuse especially the one that you've gone way above for me because that's a downright lie. You leave me no other choice but to spend several more thousands of dollars hiring an attorney in the state of WA.
It is in your best interest to take care of this matter considering the truck is still in Sports Car International's name, uninsured, unregistered being driven by a repeat felon who has a suspended license.
Sincerely,

This car dealership have made grave mistakes. 1. They refuse to own up to those mistakes, even though the salesman, (******) was new at his job he had a supervisor whos job is to supervise his work especially knowing this was a cash purchase. 2. I have repeatedly shown proof to them that I was the buyer and no one else. 3. They for whatever reason sent the title to the truck I paid almost $15,000.00 for on July 21,2021 to an address I NEVER provided them with. The wrong address they sent it to was an old address I had at the time not lived at for several years. They either got this old address from running a credit report or from my drivers license, which had the old address. Never the less it wasnt the address I provided them to the current address that was on any paperwork I filled out the day I purchased this vehicle. The paperwork I was given to register the vehicle had my then and present address on it. 3. They insist that the person I had added to the title was/is the buyer. Ive given them several different proofing I was the sole buy who made the decision to add someone, not the other way around. Again this was their responsibility, the sales man knew these facts. Its been way over two years ***** I purchased this truck and to this day I have never drove it, not once. The person whos driving it has a suspension on his license, the ******************** last regulation was 2021, and the only time its been insured was when I was paying for it to be insured. The guy driving it is a repeat convicted felon who is a meth user. ********************** Car ********************** is responsible for this mess. They want me in addition to what Ive been put through and how much money the received from me to pay for the cost of sending a title? That alone shows the care they have to the customers that keep them in business. There are many complaints against them. I wish I would have know before doing business with them. Im 65 years old and have purchased many vehicles, never ever had problems with any. This is the worst business and I will now see them in court. I want to see and hear them give a judge the same lies. KarmaBusiness response

The owner on the title to this truck according ***** and ******** is Sports Car International. I purchase this truck close to $16,000 cash in July 2021. The dealership sent the title to an address I never provided them with, how was I supposed to receive mail to an address I didnt live at? The address I provided them with on any paperwork was/is my residence. The are liars, why would I give them an address I cant get mail from?
over 2 1/2 years now since I handed them a lot of money for a truck that still belongs to this dealer.
their last response again telling me they will provide a title at my expense.
This is wrong, and I consider the owner ******* and his business to be a fraud. He should go pick up the truck that belongs to him, If hed like I can tell him where its at. Obviously after over two years the owner refuses to legally release what I paid for, I want a full refund including the $900 taxes I paid the ************** for this truck.Business response

Complaint: 20553680
I am rejecting this response because:On September 11,2023 Sport's Car International's response was:
We have issued multiple duplcate titles for these customers. they have lost both. we are happy to help one last time at their expense. cost of the license work plus our time. please reach out to our accounting department for **** on wednsday. thanks
This is false information. The first and only title that I know of was sent by them to an address I hadn't lived at for years at that time. I never provided that address to sports car international on any document I filled out July 21, 2021. The dealership sent the title to a ***************** address, the address I provided on any document was my current and present address which is in ********* **. On July ******* (5 days after I purchased the truck), at 11:40 I sent ****** the new salesperson a text message telling the address he wrote on the paperwork (documents) was incorrect. **** states in her comment above that the customers lost the titles, how in the h*** does one lose something the never received? And how dare she assumes and says I lost the title? #1 attachment I included with this complaint to the BBB is a screenshot of that text. So, why was this title sent to the wrong address, who gave SCI the ******* address, where did they get from? NOT from me. That is the one and only title I know of that they sent, and because I hadn't lived at that address for years, I NEVER received it. The law in **************** requires that a car dealership has 45 days to provide the title of a vehicle they sold unless its financed, this was a cash purchase of $14,681, IT HAS BEEN 868 DAYS since I gave SCI this cash for a truck I cannot legally drive because they screwed up and sent the title to an address I never provided them with. #2 and #3 attachments shows I gave SCI $1,000 deposit for this truck on July 20,2021 and $13,681 in a cashier's check on July 21,2021.
SPORTS CAR INTERNATIONAL and it's owner ***************************** is a rip-off and fraud. Washington State DMV says they are the legal owners of the truck I purchased 868 days ago! Their solution is for me, the customer, (plural) to give them more money to help one last time.
I will never give this horrible business another dime. This is to this day SCI's truck, and they can keep it, I want a full refund of $14,681.
I'm done with this stupid back and forth with this fraudulent used car dealership.
The End.
Do not trust this business.
Sincerely,

July 17th 2023 I bought a car from Sportscar international in Bothell, WA.The salesman assured me that the vehicle was mechanically sound and that there were NO underlying issues with the car. During the test drive I had a concern about the transmission but Going off of the salesman word that this vehicle had been checked over by a top notch mechanic and the car had no problems.I bought the car and made it 10 hours away when I started having noticeable issues.Found a auto repair place called ****** auto in *********, ** that was able to scan the cars computer which showed numerous codes, from weeks prior to my purchase of it that someone had already attempted to clear out. The dealership has not returned my call and I contacted the salesman by text.He pretty much said "You bought it and drove **** miles in it (which is not true) and that there were no issues with the car when it left the lot.Apparently he does not remember the odd way the car shifted during the test drive. I should have look at there reviews before dealing with them because it is obvious they are pulling scams on several other people in past 8 months. Why can't they admit they are wrong and do the right thing.Either buy it back or FIX it.Business response

We regret Mr **** is experiencing issues with their vehicle. after reviewing their file it appears that they declined to purchase the extended service contract that would protect them in the unfortunate event of mechanical breakdown. all vehicles in WA state are sold as as no warranty and sports cars international makes sure that all customers are properly educated where ourliability ends and theirs begins. this process is extremly thorough to make sure "sci" did their due dillenegence. used cars can break. With that said we appreciate our customers and their business and always try and find ways to assist in a matter such as this. We would be happy to assist in helping Mr **** receive a reasoonable and discounted wholesale parts and labor discount to minimize this expense. I purchased a 2015 ****** Outback with ******* miles from this dealership in late-March. Several weeks into owning the vehicle, I noticed a grinding noise when accelerating in reverse and took it into a shop to check it out. The shop then informed me that there was oil in the coolant system as the result of a leaking head gasket, and the repair would cost $7000 dollars. When I contacted the dealership and the salesman who sold me the car "*****" I was informed that this didn't mean "it was broken when we sold it," suggesting I could somehow do that amount of damage in 3 weeks. The cars at this place are claimed to be inspected prior to sale, but I find it hard to believe that something as glaring as a head gasket leak could have been missed. They take advantage of less car-savvy people and won't offer solutions beyond empty apologies.Business response
