** August 2022 I paid The UPS Store of ********** to pack and ship an HP All-In-One computer from ********** to my soon-to-be new residence in **************. Seven days later the computer arrived damaged and unusable. I contacted the store and was given instructions about how to file a claim and was promised by the store manager that they would honor their Pack and Ship Guarantee. I provided all of the requested receipts, shipping numbers and photos of the damaged computer. It is now NINE MONTHS LATER AND THEY STILL HAVE NOT FULLY HONORED THE GUARANTEE.The *********** Guarantee promises: 1.) Repair or replacement of a damaged item. 2.) Reimbursement for the cost of packing materials. 3.) Reimbursement of shipping cost. In January 2023 *** finally reimbursed the shipping cost and paid $1,000 toward the $1,335 cost to replace the computer. As of May 30, 2023 the Mill Creek UPS Store has not refunded the cost of packing materials and labor and the balance of the computer replacement cost. Because the store is a franchise, *** and The UPS Stores have no direct influence in the matter and one has to look to the stores owner to honor the guarantee.The UPS Store has ignored phone messages, letters, email and advocacy on my behalf from the **************************** of the **************** *************************Initial Complaint

********** *** We brought about 25 boxes into this location to be transported from ******** to TX. The total including insurance on the packages was about $1,200. Out of those packages, the only boxes that did not have items completely destroyed were the 4 boxes packed with books. All of the boxes were clearly labeled with which way was up and well as clearly marked Glass/FRAGILE etc. Even the box marked KEEP FLAT was delivered to my home on its side. All of our photo frames with our college degrees, marriage certificate, awards, etc were broken. Priceless items from deceased relatives were completely shattered and broken. Several items were so completely broken into so many pieces, its almost laughable if they werent so sentimental. We reached out to the owner, ****, to request a refund our broken items. The first week, he requested we send photos and videos which we did. As well as an itemized list of all damaged items with an approximate value of the items destroyed. The second week, he then requested we send him links or photos of prices of the items as well as **** the items broken on the boxes they were in. Thankfully, I still had the boxes and I sent him the information requested. The third week and this fourth week we have called and emailed with no response. We sent him photos and videos of the boxes being unpacked with item after item destroyed. We are now reaching out to the BBB and our attorney to begin the process of filing a claim in small claims court to recoup the cost of our damaged items to replace them. The process of taking photos, finding links to 20+ broken items, emailing and phone calls has also cost us 4-5 hours of work, of which I earn $30/hour and my husband $60/hour which have not been reimbursed either. This has been such a stressful hassle on top of moving across the US, I would not recommend this location to anyone.
