i purchased a car (*******************************) From Zip Star. When I first looked at the car I noticed mildew on the seatbelt and asked the Owner if it leaked he said no. It poured water inside and they fixed it. Much Appreciated. Then not long after that the drivers side window and lock stopped working a long with the back driver side door. I did call and I spoke to the Owner who said it wasn't covered under Warranty because we didn't :"choose" that Warranty option. That option was never offered to me. I found out 02/18 that my doors on the driver side (back door as well) do not lock since everything went out on just that side. Also the car dies when putting it in reverse. I feel as though I was sold a lemon and I feel that this car wasn't "vetted" when they purchased it.

Thank your feedback. We had serviced this customer extensively and went above and beyond to help and fix all initial issues with the car. Those initial concerns were fixed and we reached a common agreement of great service received by us to the customer. We explained that the Service contact she purchased was the one that her particular 2010 ********** Tiguan qualified for which is powertrain coverage for any issue pertaining to engine and transmission issues for up to 3 years and ****** miles. ************* there is not much we can do about a door lock/handle failure 4 months later and I did still call the customer to offer a scenario where I could offer the ability for us to help her receive discounted parts at our wholesale cost. We understand the frustrations and always do our best to help out whenever we are given the opportunity. Again we thank you for the feedback and will happily help out in any way we can in the future.

Hello, Thank you for the notification of this customer feedback. This particular customer purchased a 2010 ********** Tiguan back in November 2023. Initially after purchase a sunroof leak was found. She called and we took the car back and did extensive work to repair this issue all on our time and cost with no additional cost to the customer. She was overjoyed and very happy with the resolution. She then makes this complaint about door locks and another issue and is expecting us to act as her personal mechanic shop. Unfortunately as we all know there has to be a defining line made between dealer and customer and unfortunately sometimes when you go above and beyond for them they then expect the moon and nothing else. We believe that we provided more than exceptional service and that these new issues she wants fixed are normal used car problems especially for a 14 year old **********. I personally called her after this complaint was made and offered her parts at my discounted wholesale cost and she declined. I believe we resolved this promptly, respectfully and to satisfaction of both parties involved. Any additional feed back from BBB is greatly appreciated. Thank you, Zipstar Auto Sales.

I am rejecting this response because:

I absolutely agree they fixed the Sunroof problem AS THEY SHOULD HAVE. When I noticed mildew on the visor and seatbelts I asked the owner if there was a leak and he said no. Dont act like I only brought it to you because I had nowhere else To go you werent honest about the leak in the first place . I am fixing the car myself ****** learned I will not buy from them in the future . Always have a mechanic check out your used cars is the recommendation I have and if you see mildew run
      Sincerely,
