I used Pettit property management(PPM) for over six years to rent out my house. 6 months ago I received complaints about the exterior condition of my house from the *** and my neighbors. I was surprised that repairs that I authorized to fix years ago were not performed and many I had paid for. So I contacted the renter and asked for pictures. To my surprise many of the items I was charged for at the beginning of the contract, like interior painting, were ot performed by I had paid for. There were ********** and fence repairs that I had paid for, were not performed. The reason for the *** complaint was house painting and trim rot. This had lead to structural repairs. Pettit was not performing periodic inspections per our contract or they were negligent in informing me. I paid them to keep my house in good repair and they failed and now I am incurring them cost of structural repairs.Business response

This statement is not accurate. We have requested proof of the allegations, as they are not accurate nor are the statements regarding the tenant contacting us. The tenant spoke to a tech onsite during the work being completed,nothing more. We notified the owner multiple times of our recommendation to take care of the exterior of the home and the fence and we were not approved to take care of the work. The owner approved some work in the winter time frame,and it was indicated that the additional work would be completed in more appropriate weather the home was taken out of our inventory prior to the time of the year for us to complete the work.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: I sent an e-mail Feb 10, 2022 to ask when the repairs were to be made that I had authorized over a year before, and to get a quote to paint the house. I did not receive a response and the repairs were not completed. Other than these e-mails, I spoke with Pettit via text and on the phone authorizing repairs. I was charged with a few fence repairs but no pictures were sent to validate they were performed as I had requested on many occasions. Pettit in many cases did not follow through with the contract we signed in that they had their own maintenance team and would handle repairs in house.

I received the first billl for repairs to the structure (only one corner of the house, my contractorwill go after the other three in the spring) and the repair without paint cost $7950.
