      Back on 09/27/2018 I had outpatient surgery, and was issued a plasmaflow device (to prevent blood clots). I was just coming out of anesthesia, and given this to take home, with the understanding that I really would not need it anymore while no longer under anesthesia, and assumed that like most personal use things due to sanitation laws, they don't look for them to be returned. I was not told there was any billing or contact or follow-up documentation included in this package, just patient instructions to use the device. Since I had no further need to use the device, I put it away in the back of my closet and forgot about it.It was not until I received the notice from collections attached below, that I went and dug this up and found the letter from Honu, also attached below.I contacted my insurance carrier from that time, (I have that info still although my current health insurance is different) and the insurance company has never received a claim from Honu. I also never received ANY contact from Honu, even though the attached letter which was with the equipment, stated I SHOULD have received contact within 24 hours of Honu receiving my prescription.I understand by law that I can be sent to collections without ever receiving a bill, because I am supposed to assume by insurance statements that a bill will be coming. However, as stated, the insurance company never received a claim either. Since I never received any contact from this company OR had an insurance statement, I do not believe you can legally send this to collections to begin with.I have left repeated voicemail messages with the ************ number, both with the *** extension 4, and the billing extension 9. for a week now, but have had no response.

      Good Afternoon BBB,

      We have spoken to this client. As you can see from the documentation that she uploaded it was not from our company.  This is regarding a claim going back to 2018, prior to Honu Management Group LLC even being in existence. After speaking with this individual she advised us that she was going to remove the complaint against Honu Management Group LLC. Should you need anything further from us on this, pleease let me know.

      I was contacted by Honu today, and did agree to remove this, but not having access to a FAX machine, had no way I could find to do so

      I am a bit miffed however, tho, that it is stated here that this business was not even in business back in 2018, yet the phone number that goes TO this business, is from the documenttion letter I received with the item, back in 2018. It would have been nice had the company this was bounced off to, had furnished some sort of contact info as I still have no clue wo that even is beyond it seems to be someone now defunct

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
