Home Boys has shown us they have poor communication skills and dont follow through with what they state. If we would have known earlier what we know now we never would have purchased from Home Boys. The purchasing department was wonderful its the set up crew that has a lot of issues that need correcting.Review from Ben P

I think the BBB will not help us. Maybe the BBB is in bed with Home Boys. I read the other complaints and don't look like the BBB will help. The grout in our shower is falling on the floor. We paid ******** for our walk in spa shower that has a 9'' step up to get into the shower. The floor duck in our storage room has no linoleum for 5'' around it .The screen door is bent and won't open or close. There is 3or4 pieces of paneling on the outside needs replaced. I ask one of the workers before they finished how long it would to get the parts? He said the factory would ship the parts when someone in our area has a home to delivery. My wife ask for white wall paint inside, we got Beige. The sales person said there is only one white. The owner said my wife complaint about the paint was the first in 20 years.Review from V. H.

Do not use them..!!!I regret every using and buying from Home Boys. The home they deliver to me was terribly put together. The mNufacture had no respect for the work that they **** selling..!!!! PlThere were problems everywhere, and it took almost a year, fighting tooth and nail. Most got resolved? But many didn't. Do not buy from them. I can give you lots and lots of details and info. I'm a single disabled person, trying to deal with this and my health has been overwhelming.When you pay good money for a mobile home, and they slap it together with no respect for their quality of their work; " you get junk". And not what you paid for..!! Anouther thing, you may order something but they can change it - if they don't have it, which leaves you with something you didn't want.Beware.... ******** we are very sorry you are not happy with your home. You ordered a home very similar to our display home and your home looks better that our display home did. We tried to do everything to get you happy but no matter what we did we could not make you happy.Customer Response

Home Boys wrote back saying they tried to make me happy. Fixing everything as they should have, makes people happy. Not wasting the customers time having to constantly try and get them to fix things. Like the shutters were never re-painted (which they knew had to be done). I contacted ***** almost 5 months ago about the guest toilet have a flaw at the every bottom, which looks like the toilet needs cleaning. I sent pictures and followed up with him for over 3 months. Was it ever fixed. The ceiling in the kitchen has seam tape prints. The ceiling molding has a cut in it, that was never sealed or painted over. Yes you fixed a Lot of things. Which the house should of came done, completed, and all these issues resolved before it left the lot. Not wasting a year of my time, frustration, and aggravation...!!! Cabinets ordered, some did not come as ordered. They supposedly make their cabinets, and my order couldn't be done, but I paid for it. Oh, and their cabinets are the cheap fake wook looking covers (not real wood). It was supposed to comes with blinds, nope, didn't get. Got a refund, but all the costs in that year waiting had gone up. I wanted the gray with brown flooring. The sales person wrote down the brown with ****. Which i didn't caught until i changedbit about 2 orv3 weeks after i originallt ordered. But no, i got the brown with gray floors. ***. So now the floor clash with carpet and cabinets. So after the shop is built, I have to change out the carpet. Otherwise it's brown, brown, beige, and sand. What to much ******************* would help defuse all these browns. Also, I paid for a energy efficient home. Yet if you take down the ceilings crown molding, there's a big gap between the wall and ceiling where they should be joined together. ESPECIALLY if it's an energy efficient home. I have a cable raceway put in the bathroom so I could put a TV in their while I'm soaking in the big tub I bought. Did the salesperson bother to let me that there was no outlet there so I needed to order one. NO. and she knew I wanted a TV in there. In the master I paid to have an outlet on the other wall, so I could add a cadet heater, so I could keep that room warmer for my little dog. Instead they put it on the cabinet wall, were if the water runs over it would drip onto it. And the other outlet "is right behind the faucet", like 3 inches away, instead of on the wall away from water that can splash on it. I could go on and on with problems that the never fixed. And this is a short list from all the things wrong. Like big wholes in the ceilings around light fixtures. I mean stupid lazy workers stuff. If they are that bad on what you can see, imagine all the problems that were done that you can't see. Anouther example, they didn't put in electrical boxes in for the light fixtures ( at least in the quest bathroom). I'll find out more as I change out the light fixtures. They are very very cheap ****.When you pay the amount of money that were paying for these mobile homes, they shouldn't be sending out junk. They should pay me back about $30k for all the stress, time, and anxiety they've put me thru. And it's still not all fixed. In fact, They act like we're just supposed to except poor workmanship. We ordered our home on May 9, 2021, signed a contract, and was told if we put a deposit down that day, the price would be locked in. Per the contract, the home was to be delivered Jan-Feb 2022. The build date was pushed back to May 2022, and I was only told these dates after we pushed for communication in December 2021. On March 14, 2022 we then received a call from their accounting department telling us we needing to bring in another $27,000 due to manufacture builder increases. I asked for an invoice in writing and never received any further communication. We went into the office 6 days later on Saturday March 19 and was told it was actually $28,000 and given a new contract to sign with a build date of June 2022. Was now told there was no guarantee on the price even with the deposit paid, and they could change the price anytime 30 days prior to the build date. On Monday, March 21, I requested a digital copy of the new contract and on March 24 received a different contract with an addition $5,000 surcharge. Very unhappy we wasted over a year thinking we were getting a home, and are now scrambling to find other living arrangement since we can no longer afford the house with the additional $33,000 in extra charges and increased interest rates.Home Boys Inc. *********************, We are very sorry about price increases but these are from the manufacturer not from us. Your home had gone up way more than the price increase the factory gave us, as we have never seen price increases like this with inflation. Your contract did not say anywhere that the price was locked, it said that if the manufacturer raises the prices that you could either accept the price increase or we would refund your money, which we did. Again we are sorry about price increases but these are completely out of our control. The lack of communication was a big problem. And misrepresentation of items in the contract in the beginning. We were made to feel like just another number or paper business deal when it was our lives and home you seemed to care so little about. We understand the market is crazy right now. However a little bit of compassion for my family would have made a big difference.
