      I had stayed in the Penthouse at the Grand Autograph for my birthday ********. Thinking I was in a safe space coming back in from a night out. I had valuable items taken from my room when I was sleeping. Had to cut my celebration short due to the funds missing. Feeling violated and the lack of response from Management, Corporate or any from the Marriott family is a disappointing. If I could leave a negative star I would but it wouldn't let me.

      I was a employee up until this morning with the Davenport grand I was told I had to call up to the hr department regarding my background check and they sent me to voicemail over 30 times over the span of 3 days when they're whole job is to answer the phone after that I received a message saying I was terminated and when I went up there to ask what was going on and that I had done what I was instructed to do they gave me excuses. none of them could give me a straight answer when I asked them why they weren't doing there jobs and returning my phonecalls. I feel discriminated against I'm not an aggressive person and I don't appreciate being treated like I'm some violent person hr wouldn't even speak to me without them bringing in this man three times my size as a scare tactic I'm a 5'7 man I'm not tall or threatening so I don't understand why I was being treated like im violent when I just wanted to know why I was being fired for them not doing they're job so if you think of applying to the Davenport don't not unless you want to be discriminated against

      We were so excited to use the ammenites at this supposedly forbes rated hotel and I would not stick my toe in this cesspool. Went to complain at desk and they told me we could use pool accross the street. The pool engineer just so happened to come into pool area when we were there and he said the water is clear and clean just old pool. The hot tub looked like cesspool too. I cannot believe this passes health standards. Who would get in a pool that looked like this and be charged to use the ammenites? Really ruined my day and my granddaughters birthday. I called the manager and she said she would investigate but would take some time. I could not help but to ask for a refund and check out of such a nasty dirty place. I do not complain but this is not a 4.6 star hotel. Will surely share with everyone I know. Pools and tubs do not look like this in a hotel that is rated in forbes not sure how you got this rating. Very disgusted and let down.****************************************************

      On June 25th we had a daughter get married, beautiful wedding at her local childhood home in the country nearly 300 guests attended and the event went off beautifully, what more could parents want to see her and her new husband celebrate this event. As parents we wanted to give them a little extra so last April 2022 we called the Historic Davenport Hotel and booked reservations for the Bridal suite and a check In date of June 26, 2022. We were confident the new couple would be taken care of and the couple was very appreciative as well, only to have their hopes dashed when that special night turned into the hassle from H*** !When the couple tried to check in they were rudely told the reservation was cancelled! And there was nothing that could be done about this. Well that prompted a phone call to us (parents) explaining the situation. Management was claiming that they had sent out an email the day before canceling the reservation. After searching our emails they were correct, they did in fact send an email the day before check in but, it was in fact a CONFIRMATION email.After showing the clerk the proof email and numerous bantering back and forth they reluctantly found a place for the couple for the night with the exception they refunded my credit card and made the groom pay for the room with his c/c and, get this, they charged nearly $ ****** more for the same bridal suite !They had a list of poppycock excuses and none of them were plausible. The only real excuse would be one that they surely would not admit to was being Hoopfest weekend they simply wanted to rake more money in, now if they said something like that, that might be more of a believable explanation. Either way after being treated very rudely, disrespectful, we will never, ever, give that Hotel chain one red cent PERIOD ! They **** ! And I would recommend to anyone that reads this to strongly consider checking in to another Hotel in the area. We respectfully rate this sub-ZERO.
