Scam alert! Anytime a company says and this week estimates are free!! Be warned. We called to book a job, they told us they would come check it out for free- but called back the next day to say that actually, the estimate would cost $1,000 and would have to be paid whether the job was completed or not. A big change in 24 hours, no?Review from Fred F

I would avoid this business at all costs. Worst experience ever. The plumber was more of a sales person than a plumber. Not saying the guy didn't work hard he did. But the company cannot be trusted. They came out to fix a leak, cut a massive hole in the wall to repair said ********* leaked worse than it did in the first place. Due to the leak the drywall rotted. If you have any choice, don't use them. They're way overpriced & simply do not live up to their slogan.Review from Melody K

If I could give Harts more than 5 Stars I would. They gave my husband I the best service we could have asked for. They came in and kept us informed every step they took to fix our busted pipes under the house. They put in more hours than I ever expected them to and the job in the end was absolutely the best that I have ever seen. I can't figure out why anyone would give them a negative review, because the many workers that we had at our home, I could never ask for better.****** *******Review from William P

We had our water heater start to leak. I shut off the incoming water, and turned off the gas to the heater. Didn't know who to call. Asked a friend, who is a licensed plumber, but who was busy with some health problems. Called ******, listened to the ads. ***** and a helper came out, and came up with an estimate of a little over $3,000, and assured me that was a fair price. They left to get a water heater, as they didn't have one on the truck. Came back with a 50 gallon gas water heater, with a 6 year warranty. ***** told me that they don't make 9 or 12 year warranties any more. During the installation, my plumber friend called, and told me I was getting ripped off, and that there ARE water heaters with 9 and 12 year warranties available. ***** and helper "finished" the installation, put their equipment back on their truck, got paid the amount of the estimate, and left. After they left, I discovered that one of the tie-down straps was not tightened properly and installed improperly. now have a functioning water heater, which is not properly secured, and now may have to go through this whole process in 6 to 7 years (or less). Not a happy customer, and WILL NOT be calling **** ******************** again.Review from Jonathan H

We had a leak caused by an outdoor faucet. Servpro were called in to do the restoration work and Harts was called to address the cause of the leak. The Harts representative cut a panel in the dry wall and when he saw color coded PEX pipe work informed me that these pipes were illegal to install now and he would need to replace some if not all the pipe work in our house. He provided a couple of estimates. One for $3k for a partial solution (guaranteed for 1 year), another for $30k+ to replace all piping (guaranteed for 10 years) and a third for $800 to replace the outdoor spigot, but that would have no guarantee and he did not recommend going this route. His reason for not recommending this solution was that the color coded PEX piping was illegal and micro cracks would occur in the piping which would cause problems later.I researched color coded piping and found no evidence of it being illegal and furthermore, no evidence of any problems with the colorization of the piping causing micro cracks. I consulted another plumber who told me that they had not come across any issues with the piping or the illegality of its use. They fixed my problem for $600.Obviously when you have a water leak you are in a vulnerable state and I believe that Harts tried to take advantage of this state by trying to scare us into a much bigger project than was actually necessary. Some consumers may well have been tricked into a costly replacement of piping throughout the house.I would not recommend this business as they appear to be preying on situations in order to obtain larger contracts than are required.Review from Diane F

Got a coupon for a drain clear for $93. Thought it was good idea to have my bathroom sink and tub cleaned. Tech came out, said nothing was wrong and charged me a service fee. He then emailed me my invoice with pictures of the outside of my toilet and the wall where the plumbing is. He never looked at that. When he went outside, he was gone for half an hr. Had to go find him and he was talking on the phone and to another tech who had showed up for a estimate. The second tech come in, I tell him i need 2 estimates with different things listed on each. I work from home and let each know this. The tech told me +2K to remove my kitchen sink and put in a new customer bought sink and faucet. The second tech never sent the estimates. Called the company and they emailed me 2 incorrect invoices. I said I need these corrected. They said the tech had to come back out or I'd have to call him. Harts plumbing is beyond price gouging. I don't know why they are still in business. Never again.Review from Shannon H

I had a stopped up toilet. I called on a Saturday and was told they couldnt come out until Tuesday. When Tuesday came, I was told they couldnt come out until Wednesday. On Wednesday I was told they couldnt come out until Thursday. On Thursday I was told I had to wait til Friday. It was at this point that I cancelled their service and hired someone else.Review from David U

Here's the short form: I had a commode that wouldn't flush properly. And a few other minor problems that needed help. That was Friday, 2/16. I called Harts. I was told that "...someone would drop by between 9 and 4PM." The "Someone showed up." Great. Then I was given an estimate or two. Then wife and I went to Sunday brunch. We returned to disocver ceiling in the den had flooded and collapsed. Now, a problem became an emergency! I called ******...first question: "How, will you pay for the work...and we need a 50% deposit." I would say that Harts ***************** is anything but that. Having read their website, in my opinion their claims don't match their service and/or process.Review from Lisa R

I would give "no" stars if allowed. Talk about SHADE and SCAM. Don't use Harts Services. FIVE visits and still not right. What **** the initial contact who provided the estimate said one product would be installed, nope the cheapest from *********** On the fourth visit ***, their Quality Inspector, well he was quick to tell me that he fell and hurt his knee and was just returning to work. He complained that "it wasn't work, so no L&I", but he seemed to have no trouble getting down and up off the garage floor. He seemed CLUELESS about what was the issue. Blaming the "water" and ignoring the complaints I had. On visit number five, I heard him complain about " driving in a car for four hours". He did not approach me and ask, "what can we do to make this right." They have not recommended any solutions. They finally switched out the pumps to the ones we were quoted, but now the ones that were to be quieter and better are actually louder. It sounds like a constant grinding. It makes the whole end of my house vibrate. Their lead installer, *******, laughed at me when I asked about the continued gurgling. It seemed that the quicker he could get out of my home, the better. "We switched out the pumps that should be it, but I know you will call if your still not happy." Additionally, **** said two pumps was what we needed, in case of needing a backup. Well, last night we tried to switch one off and therefore the "level" would be higher and maybe less noise. ****, the "back up one" didn't work and the collection tub filled quickly with water. I am not a "complainer" but when you pay thousands of dollars, you expect service. There is no heart in ******
