  I bought a pair of earrings from Tropics, they claimed to be 10carat gold, per the salesman. I noticed awhile later the color had changed. One earring was silver, the other silver& gold. When I took them back they said I had never purchased the earrings from them. They also stated there was no sale in their store with the credit ************** license that I provided. Then they did testing on the ****************** all behind the counter. The next time I went in with my receipt." Oh yes, we saw you on video but they are the wrong earrings."I am making this complaint because I do not want anyone else to go through this. I feel they lied to me. It is the only twisted earrings I own

  This customer came into our store on 6/29 to purchase a pair of earrings. They did not provide their ID, so the sale was not recorded under any specific name, just as a general sale. 

  They returned to our shop on 8/11 - nearly six weeks later - to return the items, claiming we sold them fake jewelry. As they had no receipt, and didn't provide ID when purchasing, we weren't able to locate the sale to handle a refund.

  They returned again on 8/15 with a receipt showing the sale. We were able to look up the transaction and the item. Their receipt - and our inventory - showed that we sold them a pair of 10-karat gold earrings weighing 0.9 grams for $29 - exactly in line with how our jewelry is priced. We also photograph all jewelry in our inventory, so we had photographs of the earrings we sold. The earrings the customer attempted to return were not real gold - all of our jewelry is tested twice to ensure that we never sell fake jewelry - and weighed 4.9g. Earrings this weight would have been sold at $149, not $29, and our cost would have been more than $29 at that weight. They also looked nothing like the photographs we have on file. 

  I don't want to speculate on what happened after leaving our store, but the earrings they attempted to return are absolutely and unquestionably not the earrings purchased from us.

  I am rejecting this response because: This is the only pair of "twisted" earring's I own. Plus, when I went into the store to purchase the earrings, I gave the clerk my driver's license plus my credit card. I don't care about the money I spent on these; I just don't want to have anyone else SCAMED by this company. Word of mouth is the best advertisement that there is.
