***** was contracted to strip paint and rust from the body of a restoration project. He was decent at his job but in my opinion not nearly careful enough or thorough enough with the application. He was made aware of many spots that he missed, though that is not the primary complaint. He charges roughly $200 an hour and was paid $900 by check at the end of the job. Because it is a fast process and we had to help move parts we did not inspect them thoroughly on that day trusting his "expertise". While working he was told specifically not to blast the outer skin of the hood if the truck since it is a large panel prone to warping. ***** ignored those directions and blasted the hood anyway. As I was getting ready to sand and prep the hood for paint it was clear that it was no longer usable. The entire panel is warped around each support piece of the inner skin of the hood and there are multiple waves. We were told by a professional that it is no longer usable at all and will need to be completely replaced now. When I contacted ***** regarding the issue he denied all claims, told me he knows what he is doing and then blocked my phone number so that I can no longer contact him. This is a very unprofessional way to conduct business and he has forced me to now file a complaint since he does not want to deal with me, the customer, directly.

I was Contacted by ********************* to blast a truck cab for his restoration project. I gave him a bid price of $600 just for the cab of the pickup truck. After arriving **** and his father asked me to blast additional parts of his project including doors, hood, core support, etc.

While I was stripping other parts they brought the cab back out because there were four spots of undercoating I had missed in hard to see spots. I happily clean those spots. **** and his dad told me it looks great better than I thought it would turn out

the hood was brought out with no instructions. It had previously been stripped with paint stripper. I turned my pressure down to 60psi and turned my media down. 4 feet away from the hood I did a brush blast to lightly etch the surface as I do with all customers. There is no way with my process at that pressure could I have warped an already damaged hood.
when I was finished each part was inspected by ***** dad. He gave me a thumbs up and said everything looked great.
during my work there **** was consistently smoking a marijuana electric pen and was very high. His dad told me Ive done so many drugs in my life I have a bad memory.
The work was conducted on approximately February 2nd 2024 after they got back from ********** vacation. I wasnt contacted by **** until March 4th 2024 about a dispute with my work. Anything could have happened to that hood in 33 days.
When **** became belligerent on the phone and started swearing at me I turned him on speaker so my brother in law and son could hear what he was saying. I repeatedly told him that when I left his property all parts and work was done to his satisfaction. Everything was inspected by him. He continued to be vulgar and ask for a refund for damage I didnt do. After 6 minutes of no success and no way calming him down I hung up so I wouldnt continue to be berated and harassed by him. He then sent me a text message. Can explain to him everything for the sixth time through a text message and then I blocked his number.
