On 7/27/21 Segues, LLC a senior moving company, came to my home, located at ****************************************************************. Segues quoted me and I signed a service agreement to downsize, pack, unpack and set up at my new home, my garage, and appliance in the amount of $2,874 to $3,450. I signed a service agreement and gave them a deposit of $380. I was never told that at the time of the move I'd be responsible to pay 3 separate vendors. The service agreement reflects all the prices totaled into one bottom-line total estimate. On the day of the move 11/2/2021, I was asked to pay the mover, *****************, $1,665, which I did in good faith. I was then told the amount due to Segues was $5,362.65. I was appalled and refused to pay more than I agreed to. I subtracted out the $700 moving expense original quote and paid Segues $2,750. Later I received a **** from Blue *********** dba JDog Junk ***************** for $1,374.65. I only agreed to a $450 dumpster. So far I have paid a total of $4,795 to the movers and Segues on 11/2/2021. There was NEVER a conversation between myself and Segues staff regarding additional or excess charges over and above our service agreement amount. At this juncture, I feel Segues is responsible for any outstanding balances owned to any vendors and my obligation to both Segues, per our service agreement has been met in access of $1,921 over the original agreement.

Segues was contracted to pack, move, unpack and empty out client home.  Our service agreement states right on it that it is an estimate and is based on the number of hours we believe it will take.  As professional senior move *******s, we are used to things changing and we adapt to serve our clients as things change.  Segues outsources some services but estimates for them based on info at the time of the free consultation.  A 30 yard dumpster runs around $450 and so that is what was estimated.  Due to covid and a shortage of dumpster drivers, Segues experienced a huge increase in the cost of dumpsters last fall.  This affected more clients than just ***** and it was completely out of our control.  ***** was contacted and told the dumpster would be $1000 and that didn't include the labor to fill it.  It was recommended by my Madison ******* that we pull in JDog Junk Removers to haul away the junk.  The clients home had to be emptied by a deadline and we could not wait until prices came back down.  This information was given by a call made to ***** on 9/6/21 and was documented by my *******.  ***** states that she was never notified.  There were also things asked of my staff that were not discussed at the initial visit.  All of these things take time.  Segues services exceeded the estimate by $1472 and Segues has forgiven this debt.  Not due to any error on our part but due to the clients stress over this situation.  The client still owes JDog moving and is refusing to pay them.  This is an actual cost.  Segues does not **** up the costs to make a profit.

Segues did what we were contracted for to the best of our ability, we have forgiven our excess costs to complete the work.  We do not owe JDog for their services.  This is the clients responsibility.
