I bought a Clarios made EverStart Maxx battery. Your batteries are not reliable. The battery had to be replaced the first time because it was defective. It had to be replaced a second time because it was defective again. The auto shop had no choice to replace the battery with another brand because I was stuck in limbo. I went to ******* and they will not refund me but will only give another replacement. Another high probability I will have a problem. I don't have time to roll the dice and get stuck again without a car as I already have been two times. EverStart batteries are too risky and poorly made. I need the manufacture to be accountable and correct this nonsense I have been baited into. I want a full refund for battery. Your company's batteries have been *********************** and a problem.

Any time that a battery is replaced under warranty and then the replacement also "is bad", this is suspicious and almost always point to an issue with battery maintenance OR an issue with the vehicle. Ultimately, ******* is protecting themselves from giving away batteries. They have the final say in this matter.

Did ******* test the 1st and 2nd battery to confirm they were bad? What was the voltage at the time of each test? Does the customer have the test printouts so we can see the full test report for both batteries?

If the customer still has the battery, they can open a claim with ******* and we (Clarios) can pick up the battery to be analyzed so we can determine if the battery is defective.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Battery 1 was tested, had a voltage below 11V and replaced with battery 2. 7 months later battery 2 failed and taken to ******* and tested. They tried 2 different machines and the battery would not hold a voltage above 11V, they said their was something wrong with the internal cells.  As i was there, there was a line of other people with the same battery with the same problem.  No one has time to play this battery game. I was given a 3rd battery in January 2023 and it has not been used. I just wanted a refund because I don't have time to keep doing this, is not reliable, the product is hit or miss and that is not good.  This is your product and I want a refund. Please don't defect that it is something else. Take some accountability for selling defective products. You are the manufacture and I am tired of all the run around.  I want a refund not another risky battery. You lost me as a customer.

The battery was sold by ******* and they have the final say regarding warranty or refund.    If the customer wants to have their battery analyzed, they can start a claim with ******* and Clarios can pick up the battery to perform a non-destructive analysis.

Received a discharged battery, claiming to be new, from Autozone in Wake Foest, **, on 5/17/22, sticker on this battery is 3/22. Due to this discharged battery I received, it has caused other mechanical issues, still unrepaired to date. Furthermore, I was not willing to accept their offer to return this battery, for a cash refund and went to the battery manufacturer, Clarios, LLC, to get customer satisfaction (due to the strict ethics standards they claim to adhere to, on their website). *************************, Battery Claims Specialist for "Clarios", was assigned to me. She didn't have any of the documentation and pictures, I had sent to the Supervisor, **** **, which was to be forwarded. I had to resend everything and explain everything again and again. She refuses to give me a claim number to start a claim and continues to state "Clarios" needs this battery back first, to do an analysis and to ship the battery back to them, first. There is no assurance other than verbal, it would not end there, if I am to return the battery, without a claim number and a process that had started, before their battery analysis procedure. Furthermore, the battety sticker of 3/22, was not up to date for 5/22, when I received it. And, the name on this Duralast Gold battery sticker shows the name: Distributed by, Best ************ **************************. (BEST PARTS, ************* name, dissolved 16 yrs. Ago with the Secretary of ****** office in *********. I have provided much proof of websites from mechanics showing a bad cell in a battery and a "battery short", can take out an alternator. I want Clarios LLC, to pay for the repairs which were caused as a result of their bad battery, which to date is still unrepaired. This is the only vehicle I have and because it is not repaired for almost three months now, it has been a struggle to get my needs met, which requires transportation. This battery will not charge with my battery charger and has had no voltage on ********* multimeter test.

I received your voicemail this morning. Sorry I missed your return call.

The reason for my call is to verify, if you were able to open the two picture attachments, included with my BBB complaint for this case number? (I have had issues in recent past, with sending multiple pics at the same time, where the images did not go thru).

Also, want to add another picture to this case and want to get instruction on how to do it without compromising the original form, or information provided.

Please respond to this email, or you may call me at ************.

Thank you for your assistance in this matter.

ur process requires that we perform a non-destructive analysis of the battery before we can make a determination on the claim. We continue to work with the customer on securing the battery so we can proceed with this claim.
