If 0 stars were possible, that's what I would rate them. Let me first say, this review doesn't reflect my case specifics other than the fact that it wasn't taken seriously. After 2 years of waiting for a court date, I received a call from attorney ************************* a week before the court date. Be very weary when they don't even meet with you in person! This was the first time he spoke to me (in 2 years!). He had NO idea about my case or even asked me any details. He simply assumed details of my case without ever asking me about what happened. If you want communication, DON'T do with Tabak. It always took many days, if not a week or 2, to get any type of reply to my questions and concerns. 2 years of this!!This firm is nothing but a puppy mill of lawyers. Get the cases in and out and don't worry about the morality.Being a Marquette grad, I expected much better from *************************. He didn't listen or even ask about my thoughts and was was less than caring. Sensing I was totally disappointed in the settlement, he actually said "congratulations" when this was a complete failure and slap in the face. He then said to me "I won't charge you for the case since it is such a low dollar amount". That was a complete LIE. WTF! Why would you say and do that?PLEASE do yourself a favor and don't even consider Tabak. Once you get hooked onto their train, you are stuck and will regret it. Meet with a lawyer up front, not their paralegal over the phone.Discuss your case face to face with your lawyer upon first meeting.Discuss and address concerns right away with your lawyer, not their paralegal. Make sure you are involved with what's happening. These are basic expectations not provided with Tabak. This review is not a spur of the moment angry teen letter about my experience. This is after a BS settlement was reached and careful thought about my overall experience with Tabak.UPDATE 4/1/2024: I have received letters from the US Treasury saying I have unpaid bills due to this work injury. I have contacted TABAK twice regarding this $23,000 bill that was to be paid by the insurance company. NO ACTION DONE! Pathetic!Choosing Tabak was the worst decision I have made in my life!

      Hello,

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We understand your concerns and appreciate the opportunity to address them. Regarding the subrogation component of your claim, it's important to clarify that this matter is receiving our undivided attention. The issue remained open during the settlement process as part of ongoing complexities, not due to any oversight. Our office is fully committed to resolving every aspect of your claim, including subrogation, to your satisfaction.
Throughout the years, and particularly in the months and days leading up to the trial, we engaged in numerous discussions about the intricacies of your case. These discussions were crucial for navigating the legal process and making informed decisions. The decision to accept a settlement offer was made after carefully weighing all potential outcomes and risks. At the time, you expressed satisfaction with the settlement, and it's concerning to hear now that you feel otherwise. This is the first indication we have received of any dissatisfaction, and we take your sentiments seriously.
An initial offer was received and carefully considered. Based on the potential we saw in your case, I advised waiting for a better offer, believing it to be in your best interest. This advice was not given lightly but with a deep understanding of the legal landscape and your specific situation. Ultimately, this approach resulted in a more favorable settlement than initially proposed.
It's paramount to address the misunderstanding regarding legal fees. At no point was it indicated or implied that legal fees would not be charged. Our commitment to transparency and ethical practice ensures that all clients are fully informed about potential costs from the outset of their case. Any misunderstanding regarding this matter deeply concerns us, and we are keen to rectify any misconceptions promptly.
Our priority has always been and remains to advocate for our clients' best interests, adopting a strategic approach to litigation that considers all possible outcomes and risks. We are committed to ensuring that all aspects of your claim are resolved satisfactorily and to addressing any other concerns you may have.
Your trust is invaluable to us, and we aim to maintain open, honest communication. I am personally here to discuss any further concerns or questions regarding your case. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me directly.

      Thank you, Tabak Law

I engaged the services of Tabak Law, LLC based on their representation that they could provide assistance in pursuing my Social Security Disability claim. I signed their engagement agreement on12/26/2022, which outlined the terms and conditions of our engagement. I have encountered a series of issues that raise serious concerns about the competence, professionalism, and integrity of the firm. These issues include: Unexplained and significant delays in the handling of my claim, which have caused financial strain and hardship for me.Communication with the firm's representatives has been challenging, with unanswered calls and a lack of timely responses to my inquiries. The firm's representatives, particularly *** and *******, exhibited actions that were contrary to my explicit instructions, leading to potential harm to my immediate financial well-being and undermining my trust in their abilities.Promises made by the firm's representatives, including *** and *******, to address my concerns and rectify the situation were not fulfilled, leaving me frustrated and disillusioned. The cumulative effect of these issues has led to a breakdown in trust between me and the firm, causing me undue stress and inconvenience and hindering the timely and effective resolution of my disability claim.I terminated the attorney-client relationship with the firm in June due to their alleged incompetence, negligence, and disregard for my best interests. Nonetheless, the firm has continued to engage with the *** without my authorization, thereby compounding the issues I am facing. Please investigate my complaint against the firm and facilitate a resolution that includes:Acknowledgment and rectification of the firm's failures in accordance with the terms of the engagement agreement.Immediate cessation of all actions taken by Tabak Law, LLC on my behalf, unless explicitly authorized by me in writing.A written response from Tabak Law, LLC addressing the concerns raised in this complaint.

      *******,

I am sorry to hear that you are disatisfied with the services that Tabak Law has provided. I did just look over your file and can confirm that everything has been processed in a timely manner with SSA. Unfortunantly, this is a very lengthy process that requires the response of a federal agency that is handling over one million cases currently. We have dedicated significant time to your file. I have forwarded your request to the division mananger, we will be in contact with you directly.

      Thank you,

      Tabak Law

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 20487882 and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I refer to my original complaint and wish to further elucidate the extent of my grievances regarding Tabak Law, LLC's handling of my Social Security Disability claim. My previous communication highlighted several distressing issues, and I would like to emphasize the following additional concerns:
Misleading Documentation: Tabak Law, LLC's negligence extended to a critical point when they provided me with incorrect paperwork for a doctor's ************ This forced me to reschedule the appointment and make an unnecessary second trip to the doctor's ******* In light of this error, I had to personally contact the ****************************** (SSA) to procure the appropriate documentation. This incident not only wasted my time and resources but also underscored the firm's lack of attention to detail.
Deliberate Delay Tactics: As previously outlined in my initial complaint, I firmly believe that Tabak Law, LLC purposefully employed tactics to delay the resolution of my case. Their actions seemingly aimed to prolong the decision-making process, all with the intent of increasing their share of the eventual award. This calculated approach directly contradicted their professional obligations and prioritized their own interests over mine as their client.
Breach of Promises: In early summer, Tabak Law, LLC made a specific commitment to call me on a predetermined date to provide an explanation for their actions, which appeared to be contrary to my best interests. Regrettably, they failed to uphold this promise. This lack of communication and accountability served as the final straw in our deteriorating attorney-client relationship. Subsequently, I issued a formal notice of termination, signifying the breakdown of trust between us.
Throughout the entire ordeal, I maintained direct contact with the **** which ultimately led to the awarding of my Social Security Disability claim two months later. The delay in receiving these benefits caused unnecessary hardship, particularly considering my recent medical history that included quadruple bypass surgery and hip replacement surgery within a span of seven months.
Given the aforementioned concerns and the totality of my experiences, I have grave reservations about the ethical conduct of Tabak Law, LLC. I am convinced that, had they acted in a professional and ethical manner, I would not have endured prolonged financial hardship during a time when my health was already compromised.
I urge the appropriate authorities to thoroughly investigate the conduct of Tabak Law, LLC, and, if warranted, take appropriate actions to address the violations of professional standards and ethics that have marred their representation of my case.

      Regards,

      *****************************

Hello, First off, congrations on getting approved, less than fifty percent of all applicants are approved for benefits. We are very happy we were able to help. I had an opportunity to look over your claim. I see that our office had over 120 seperate communications with you after spending several hours with you applying and ensuring everything was done appropriatly. I do note that for a period of time we were unable to reach you because your phone number changed. During this time we sent several letters to your home address as well. Again, we are happy we were able to help you get approved. Tabak Law
