On Apr 15, 2022 I entered into a contract with Allstate Asphalt, **** and personally with its Principal, Robert **********************. The contract calls for coal tar seal coating to my driveway. The contract payment calls for $2,250. The contractor insisted on full up front payment. I would only agree to pay half of the amount up front to which the contractor reluctantly agreed. The contractor insisted that my payment check be made out to him personally rather than his company. My $1,125 check was cashed on Apr 15, 2022. I've made numerous attempts to contact Allstate Asphalt and Robert **********************. I contacted or attempted to make contact via email, text and phone. I have documentation of my contact attempts. Mr. ********************** replied to some of my earlier inquiries. He made several promises of times when my driveway would be done but has never returned to my house and no longer even answers my inquiries. I would not feel safe if Robert ********************** were to return to my property.

On May 11; 2022 All State Asphalt put a coating on an existing driveway located at my cottage, ***************************************************, **.. I wrote a check for $1,400 made out to ASA Asphalt. The owner, asked for a different check made out to him, Robert Knight. It appears he is avoiding paying taxes. I pointed out some areas he needed to do over. He said he would come back the following week and fix the problem. He never returned. I have left two voicemail messages for him but he never called back. In the second email I suggested he send me a check for $500 and we could call it even. He has never returned my calls or repaired the poor coating.

My complaint is concerning my 92 year old mother in law, *********************************** from *****, **) who was in her yard on May 9th and she was approached by All State Asphalt (Robert Knight). Below is what I sent to the company's website to alert them of our unhappiness with their business practice and finish of the job. They have not contacted me as directed yet they are calling her directly. I am contacting you to inform you that services (blacktop sealer) was performed at my mother in laws property yesterday located at ********************************. We stopped by yesterday at 6pm and the work was completely unacceptable. The driveway was not prepped as it should of been. There is sealer over sand and the sealer was already peeling up and will obviously not stick. There are some many cracks that were not filled along with heavy brush marks/tracks that are visible all over the driveway. The person who dealt with my mother in law told her that it will be smooth and look like new. That is the farthest from the truth. I have taken multiple pictures and it is very evident that this was a very poor job and did not deliver on the promise of a quality job. So you understand, payment was stopped and we will expect a return visit to repair to quality standards and then we will render payment upon completion. My mother in law is 92 years old and she told the worker that she was unhappy with the quality of the work and did not want to pay until it was made right, the worker became angry and aggressive. She felt threatened and reluctantly wrote a check to him for $1,100 dollars. She did not contact your company to have you come and do the work, they just showed up and pressured her into agreeing. I am contacting the BBB as well as the local police so this person should not come to her house and harass her about the stopped payment. That is what we did, so your company should call me directly to discuss how you want to handle this dispute.

I called the owner he
