On September 13, 2021, I went to Design Vision to have new lenses put in my existing glasses frames. It was offered that 2/3 of the cost could be paid by IMS barter points ($487.40) and I paid the remainder by credit card ($240). I had to bring my glasses in to be sent to the lab. I was told the glasses would be done in a few days. About 10 days later I contacted Design Vision to see if my glasses were done. I was told that my frames were lost in shipment to the lab. They offered me to come in and pick out new frames free of charge from their store. After picking out new frames, I informed them that I was leaving the country in about 10 days and would be gone for 2 months. They assured me that the glasses would be done before I left. When time came for my departure, the glasses were not ready, but they agreed to send them to where I was staying. After about two weeks not hearing from them, I started trying to make contact both by email and phone. My emails were not returned and phone calls were deflected saying they would call me back or they were to busy to talk.My sister happened to be making a trip to visit me abroad, so she went to the store and got the completed glasses and brought them to me. Unfortunately, the glasses were defective. One of the lenses was very loose and moving around, making them very uncomfortable to wear.Upon returning home, I paid a visit to Design Vision to see if they could fix the issue. Again, I would be leaving the country in about two weeks. I informed them of this and they told me they were confident I would get the glasses in time. Again, they were not ready for my departure.Weeks later, Design Vision agreed to a refund: $240 + $352.40 (in IMS points) + giving me the new glasses. $135 was subtracted for the cost of eye exam. Despite multiple attempts to make contact, I have not received a refund. I have also had to wear an old pair of glasses with an outdated prescription for nearly 6 months.
