The incident occurred on April 25th, 2023 on the evening. **** and his employee moved my laser into my home and it was scratched in various places. No internal damage seems to have incurred. I was home while they did this and heard them struggle. I inspected the machine and had them take pictures of the scratches. **** said he would go to his insurance company to file a claim for the damages. He said I could pay him for the 1 1/2 hours they worked. His hourly rate is$165, so it wouldve been about $247.50 for the bill. I knew how hard it was to move the laser, so I tipped them despite the damages. The total payment was $300. Fast forward to May 2nd, I text **** for an update and begin sending him voicemails, texts, and an email. He doesnt respond until after several attempts to reach him. He was readily available and responsive when we didnt have any problems. May 10th, I contact him again for an update and he texts me that he sent a check in the mail for $100. We had agreed he would refund me $100 because his insurance didnt cover business equipment. May 17th, I attempt to text and call **** for an update one last time. Did not receive anything. I texted him I will wait until the end of the week to see if it will arrive in the mail and if I dont hear anything back, next week I will open small claims against him.Business response

She used my service before this incident and never had an issue. The printer was crated for one and we pad wrapped it over *************** and plastic which was on from shipping. She did remove a light and put back on after the move. Unfortunately I should have went over the printer before moving it to see if there were any scratches that were previously on it. That was my fault. I did not ship it I just opened the crate and moved it for her. I did give her the ********************************* not.
