Cabell Huntington hospital has not sent me a bill and yet I received notices from a law firm that I owe money with no explanationBusiness response

Cabell Huntington Hospital makes multiple attempts to collect the balance due before a patient is sent to Bad Debt. This patient was telephoned and mailed multiple statements. On 03/21/2019 the patient was called and made aware of balance due, statements that have been sent, payments made, and when final notice was sent. Patient stated he had not been getting his mail, and patient was advised to speak with his postmaster, the address we have listed is the correct address for the patient. Patient then made a $25 payment on that day. Patient was called again on 04/16/2019 and the representative noted that the patient stated they had just sent a payment of $25 within the last week. This payment was never received and was then turned to Bad Debt on 05/29/2019.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I would like an itemized bill with detailed information because I do not believe these charges are accurate

My son ***** ****** was seen in the ER for severe dehydration. He was never took to a room and was treated in a hallway. He needed an IV and was denied that due to being treated in a hallway with others sitting next to him. HIPAA was not a concern. I feel as though Cabell Huntington Hospital has violated my sons privacy and denied him proper treatment. I should not owe a bill after my insurance was billed and paid this claim.Business response

Cabell Huntington Hospital turned a medical bill into debt collection during COVID- 19 pandemic. On February 22,2021 the senate passed a bill requiring health care agencies to limit these practices during this time. Despite these facts, they sent my bill that I was payment installments on for $184.34 per month to a debt collections agency. That has no negatively affected my credit score, this is unfair practice. Trans World Incorporated is the debt collector Cabell Hospital used for collection purposes.
