I paid 1,999.82 at sights, sounds, and speed in nitro WV on 3-24-22. My appointment to have the equipment installed is 4-6-22. I found out that I'm going to be 4 weeks without any income so I call and asked them to refund my money on 3-31-22 and the owner refused. He never told me that all sales were final nor does it say anywhere on my receipt record that all sales are final. Yesterday when I called was the first time the owner said all sales are final and refused to refund my 1,999.82.Business response

In response to your letter dated 4/12/22 regarding ID ********* please allow the following explanation to stand as my response to the complaint that was filed with the Bureau against Sights, Sounds, and Speed.
According to the claimant, payment was received in full on 3/24/22 for specific electronics as well as labor. The invoiced and paid amount was $1999.82. However, prior to the scheduled installation date of 4/6/22, claimant decided against wanting the product due to a financial hardship he was going to incur in the coming weeks. It is alleged that claimant had no knowledge of the company’s policy of all sales being final.
When claimant contacted us with inquiry about receiving a refund, it was discussed with him in depth that a refund wasn’t possible as materials had already been ordered, and time had been allotted for the install. This stance was backed up by the standing company policy that all sales are final.
A receipt of materials and amounts due was transmitted on 3/24/22 via email using the address provided by the customer. A copy of the receipt/invoice is enclosed and as can be clearly seen at the bottom of the invoice, is the statement, “All Sales are Final & No Refunds. Your payment is acceptance of terms.” To now say he has no knowledge of this policy is an untruth if the invoice in which he provided payment for on said date was read.
In an effort to resolve the matter, Sights, Sounds, and Speed is willing to refund the amount paid with the exception of $500 of the total as a 25% restocking fee for materials which have already been purchased, as well as lost time for shop hours. As per the original conversation with the claimant, this was acceptable to him & was a reasonable settlement. As such, we feel as if this is a viable resolution.
It truly is the desire of the company to have the customer satisfied and it is our sincere hope that this resolution will be satisfactory to all parties.
