On July 29, 2024, Better Business Bureau identified a pattern of complaints against Worldclick Marketing LLC. Consumers have reported problems with customer service, billing, and refunds. Specifically, customers have claimed that they purchased a one-time search for $2.95 but were unknowingly enrolled in a $24.95 monthly subscription. Additionally, there are allegations that refund requests are not being honored.
BBB notified Worldclick Marketing LLC of the complaint pattern. To date, Worldclick Marketing LLC has not responded to BBB's request to address the pattern.

Have made several attempts (both with their removal methods on their website) and per emailing them requesting all of my personal information be removed, without any resolution. I am a victim of doxxing, harassment and cyberstalking so I am again requesting ALL of my personal information be removed from all of their related websites.Business response

I request that this website immediately remove my personal information as it against my privacy. Also, remove my information from your affiliate websites. I paid 2.95 for 4 days of service . They trying to charge ***** more. I didn't get the correct info .. the site has confused misinformation.. I want it cancelled. And leave my money cards alone. I never signed up for nothing but a 4 day plan. And then cancelled in 2 days due to incorrect information.Business response

On December 7th 2023 I purchased a single use for ***** warrant round up. The cost for the single use was $2.95. No where in any of the information that I read before making the purchase did it state that I would be subscribing to a $24.95 per month subscription. Not that the time from the first payment I knowingly made and the payment they unknowingly took from my account was even a month apart. I did not in any way shape or form agree to anything more than the one time use purchase. My husband recently left for boot camp for the navy so at the moment our funds are tight and the $24.95 that they basically stole from me was going to purchase necessities need for me and my 1 year old son, such as laundry soap and cough medicine that my son needs. Now because this company feels as though they can take what they want from whomever they want I will have to wait another week to get my son the medicine he needs. I do not in any way wish to have any type of subscription with this company I had no intentions of doing so from the start which is why I purchased the one time use only. I want a full refund of the $24.95 your company stole from my account and since this company decided to sign me up for a subscription you cam also unsubscribe me as well.Initial Complaint

In the process of preparing out tax return this year, I downloaded and sorted our credit card charges. I noted that a recurring monthly charge of $24.95 from WORLDCLICK MARKETING LLC was charged every month on my husband's credit card. I have reviewed our credit cards before, but I had not noted this recurring charge until I downloaded and sorted the charges. My husband does not recall signing up with this company, but evidently he signed up for the trial membership for $2.95 and did not realize that he was continuing to be charged for this service. He did not use it in subsequent months. We have been billed a total of $449.10 in monthly memberships for which we have not received a service. I contacted the company who responded from the VerifyRecords.com. ***** L responded on Mar 30, 2022, 15:09 EDT "Your subscription has been cancelled and your card will not be charged again. The reason you were charged for the monthly renewal is you did not cancel your trial account When customers sign up for the 4 day trial, all customers agree that they must cancel before the trial ends. This is agreed upon in the check out cart, where customers check the box and agree to the billing terms and conditions. If they do not cancel they will be automatically billed for the monthly renewal. Your account is now cancelled however, we do not give partial credit or refund for unused services. Thank you for contacting us regarding your account. We understand that you signed up for a a trial and then became a monthly member.
When customers sign up. they agree to a trial and if they do not cancel within trial period then they become a monthly member. We ask them twice to agree to the terms and conditions in check out process before they purchase the service . Then we send them an email to share with them their billing terms and login credentials. Before the end of the trial we send them another email to let them know their trial will expire and a link to cancel. Finally, every month we send them before renewal?. We send them an email regards to renewal billing, unless they cancel .
Unfortunately, we can refund on unused portion of the service -

I am rejecting this response because:First of all, the response states: "Unfortunately, we can refund on unused portion of the service". This appears to be a mistake in grammar and spelling. It appears that they are trying to say "Unfortunately, we cannot refund an unused portion of the service". We made a mistake in not understanding this transaction, as the customer service representative made a mistake in their response. I do suspect that this company is depending on people making the same mistake that we did, who are paying for a service for which they are receiving nothing. I would think that the company could at least make a compromise and refund at least half of what we were charged in an act of good faith and understanding.

I am rejecting this response because:First of all, it is ironic that your company excuses itself for making a mistake "You are correct we did make a grammatical mistake in our initial response. Unfortunately, we can not refund unused portion of monthly service.", but will not work with a customer who has made a mistake. Your company chooses to not refund unused months of this service. It could, it if chose to. My husband does not recall being warned that he would be billed monthly for this service after the trial period. I don't believe that we ever used the monthly service. In the spirit of good will an customer relations, it would seem that your company could at least split the difference, considering that from our lack of usage of the service, we did not intend to acquire the service.
We had a situation with another company and they split the difference with us, which I thought was fair.
I am also contacting Chase credit card company to file a dispute.
It saddens me that there are probably others who are paying for this service and don't realize that they are being billed for something that they are not using. This appears to be a scam.
The BBB asked if we are over 65, which we are, and if either of us is a veteran. My husband spent 28 years in the Navy and we were married for all but 7 months of that time. Can't you give us a break?
