In April 2022 I engaged YEJ Studio and Consulting to provide drawings for a permit application. The purpose of this permit was to convert my basement into a legal second dwelling. I met Amr R. who visited my property. I was asked to sign a contract ********** for the work to begin. According to the terms of the contract I would have to pay $791.00 to begin the initial work and another payment of $791.00 after initial design was complete, to complete the official drawings. The terms also state that "Substantial Completion of the drawings will occur 10 Business Days from the date of receiving the Down Payment." I signed the contract on 19 May, 2022 and paid $791.00 on the same date. Initial work was completed but no official drawings were created. I was asked to pay the final payment of $791.00 for them to create the official drawings. I made this final payment on June 13, 2022. Invoices for payments ********. I was told at this point that they would manage submitting the drawings to the city for the permit and complete any amendments needed to get the permit. As of writing, no permit has been approved by the city. The project has now been delayed by 8 months due to lack of action ** *** **********. The ********* has also disconnected their office phone line and does not receive calls on their phone. They also do not reply to ******** or text messages or emails.
