In March of 2022, I went to Markville Chevrolet Buick GMC dealership service department to have a check up for my pick up truck. This is done in preparation for driving from Toronto to Chicago. I ended up spenting $2811.75 CAD at the shop for a variety of services including a $368.91 CAD service for my transmission on March 23rd of 2022. The service person told me that my transmission tube is leaking and needed to be replaced. On April 3rd, on my way back from Chicago, while on I-92 highway, my car bursted into smoke and I had to park on the shoulder with my wife and my 10 months old infant son while waited for 3 hours for a tow service. I was told by the local mechanics next day that the clamp used to keep the new tub in place is missing and the transmission tube came loose. The mechanics suspects that the dealership did not install the clamp properly. I have contacted the dealership multiple times through the original sales person that I dealt with, for a period of 6 months i have heard no reply from their management team. After e-emailing the manager directly, there were a few email on the settlement amount, but since then I have not heard back for another 3 months. In both cases, I have sent a detailed break down of the settlement that I am seeking, in total of $1000.00 to cover items like hotel and food cost, towing cost, additional phone bills incurred and lost of work day due to this incident. merch invoice number *********
