      Hello BBB, I booked a one-way flight ticket for 2 passengers (my mother and father) from Delhi (India) to Toronto (Canada) with travel date of Feb 15, 2024 and paid CAD $2,951.00 via ***********. Customer reference: ************ and Booking Ref# ******  However, on Feb 07, 2024, my mother was admitted to hospital for 1 day *** ** ***** ***** and was treated/discharged on Feb 08, 2024, but doctor advised that she is not fit to travel for at least 1 month. Therefore, I had to cancel the booking for both, ** ** ****** **** ** **** **** ** ** ****** *** ****** ****** ******  I reached out to the Air India on Feb 08, 2024 and asked for a full-refund due to medical conditions and requested to waive off the cancellation charges. Case ID - ******** (******** ***** ******** **** *** ***** *** *********). As requested by Air India, I provided all necessary documents they asked for:- Medical Report, No Travel Letter from Doctor, copy of passports. But I was refunded only CAD $2,365.44 after deducting cancellation charges, however their policy mentions that full-refund will be provided in case of medical emergency situations. Therefore, I'm expecting a refund of CAD $585.56 from Air India to resolve this matter. Let me know if you need any additional details from my side? Appreciate BBB for your help in this matter.       The date of transaction was 25th May. So I had booked an air ticket via ****** got Air India tickets from 1 Nov to 27 Nov. *** ** ** ******** ******* **** I had to travel on 15th October so I had submitted a refund request as the airline promised me a full refund ** * ***** ******* The request was submitted on 25th October and the last update from the airline was on 18th November that I need to contact the agent i.e ******. I am contacting the agent as well as airline since then and getting nowhere. ****** says they have emailed the Airline and there is no reponse. It takes around 7-10 business days for the refund but I don't know where thr money is. I need a solution to this ASAP.

      We have booked our 3 Air tickets for myself & my 2 daughters on 06th Oct 2021 from Vancouver (YVR) to Chennia (MAA) but due to some unforeseen circumstances we couldn't travel at that time. I contacted Air india for Refund and i have been advised that i can use this money for future travel. The total cost of the tickets comes to 1009.17 CAD. I tried to utilize this money for my 2022 Vacation to India but no luck as i couldn't reach them and we booked our tickets through some other Airline. I would like utilize the money at least now. When we reach the customer care, we have been advised to contact Air India Airport office number ************. We have been trying so many times and nobody is picking up. Now i am forced to book another ticket and the money i spent was locked.       Dear Better Business Bureau, I am writing to file a complaint against Air India regarding the delay of my refund for a flight that I was unable to take. I booked a flight on 12Oct,2022 for Vancouver to Ahmedabad, India and paid $2819.96 for that flight. I call the Airlines well in advance for cancellation and was promised that my credit card would be refunded in maximum one week time. I requested a refund for the unused ticket on 10NOV,2022, but to date, I have not received the refund. Despite multiple attempts to contact AirIndia, I have not received a satisfactory response from their customer service representatives. It has been more than 180 days since I requested a refund, and I have still not received any reimbursement from AirIndia. I find it unacceptable that AirIndia has not honored its commitment to provide a refund for an unused ticket within a reasonable timeframe. I am not alone in my experience, as there are numerous reports of similar delays in refund processing from other passengers who have requested refunds for unused tickets with this Airline. I demand immediate action to refund the full cost of my ticket, as promised, without any further delay or excuse. I am requesting your assistance in resolving this matter in a timely manner.       Hi, My Air India ticket confirmation number is ******  I booked an international flight ticket (Air India) from Toronto to New Delhi for the travel date of March 13, 2023 for 1 Adult, 1 child and 1 infant for total amount of $2628.75. The booking was made on February 25, 2023. However, I had to cancel the ticket in less than 24 hours because of certain unforeseen events. Since, the ticket was being cancelled within 24 hours and I had also purchased a cancellation protection plan on my ticket, * *** ********* **** * ***** ** ******** *** ****** ****** ** *** ******* ******** ** ** ******* Air India has charged me CAD 280 per ticket as the cancellation fees* **** ** ****** ** *** the ticket was being cancelled in less than 24 hours. Air India’s website clearly says that if the ticket is cancelled in less than 24 hours there will be no penalty. I urge you to pls waive the cancellation fees and refund the cancellation charge. I have contacted ********* from whom the ticket was booked, but they have said that the cancellation charge was levied by Air India and hence I must contact Air India to get the full refund.

      On Nov. 3, I booked a flight at Air India Web, from YVR to DEL leaving at Dec.8. Booking reference ******. On Nov. 4, I received an email telling me my return flight was cancelled. **** ******** ****** ***** Since then I tried to re-arrange my itinerary. I tried several times to contact Air India Customer Service. The different reps either denied to re-schedule or ask for higher re-scheduling fee, or refused to provide a credit for future booking, or cut my lines, or asked for penalty. The penalty was raised from $280 to $560! **** ******** *** ********* **** ********** I tried every effort to solve this issue, and I have to cancel my flight online at last minute on Dec. 7. Air India's cancellation notice causes my change of trip (no penalty) and Air India charges me penalty due to their cancellation!! Air India please refund the penalty $560CAD.

      I traveled with Air India on September 19, 2022. Bought a ticket online through ****** ******* and paid $2288.00 for a round trip. Had to cancel the return trip because of the discomfort and ********** experience I had. For that too I was charged cancelation fee and only got refund of $750.00 **** ******** ** ****** **** ******** ** *** *** ******* ** ******* **********, but Toronto Pearson to Delhi, (Air India) worst experience. Seats were so uncomfortable that they had plastic part visible, *** **** **** *** **** ***** that flight,there was no cushioning at all in the seats.screens not working, restrooms were smelly, from very bigening. Filed a complaint online no one contacted , tried calling them, they will tell you someone will contact you in 24 hours but no one does, tried calling many times, same answer all the time. My online complaint number# ***************** Emailed on ********************** no reply, Case ID: ********  don't know what to do next. Will very much like at least partial refund for all I had.

      I have concern regarding recent flight with air india. This is regarding my booking reference: ****** * have contacted airline but they have not provided any compensation *** **** **** **** ** ***** *****. We had return flight from ******* and *** *****. I had below issues during my flight. 1. We have ordered vegetarian child meal but in both flights inbound and outbound, there was no child meal for my daughter, I have asked air hostess in both flights but they said they don’t have any meal left, I have showed flight booking details but they didn’t have any clue and there was no additional meal for our daughter, this is not expected for long flight and we didn’t have enough food during our flight. *** ****** *** *** ***** **** ****** *******  During return flight, there was issue with entertainment, lighting, plugs, and fan system with all 3 seats of ours.       I purchased an airline tickets for myself and my husband. My husbands last name was entered incorrectly. After making numerous attempts to contact them directly no one is able to help me. They are not even providing options, just telling me to pay to cancel the ticket and purchase the ticket for an additional $2000. Why should I have to buy my ticket again when they can reissue a ticket with the correct name.
