I have guests in from London, England and chose The Avalon Suites, 155 Yorkville Avenue T, Toronto.The photos on the website looked fantastic . We paid in full long before arrival. When my guests arrived after a long flight we had to wait for half an hour before we could get the key . We saw the the room and were shocked. Looked nothing like what was advertised and it was filthy , the stove was broken, the sofa was stained with dirt , hair in the toilet, toaster oven was burnt and full of grunge. We told the young girl this was unacceptable and we will not be staying here. We wanted to speak to the manager but was told he was unavailable. We said we would not be staying here and asked for a refund .
We went back the next day and saw the place in the light and saw it was dirtier than the night before.
The young girl was speaking to the manager and he still wouldnt talk to us. We were told we could not get our money back . This has been an awful experience and I really want people to know this place is not as it is advertised . *************************************************************** *************************** .Subsequently we have found numerous reviews echoing our sentiments. Also complaints about the manager not refunding his guests. We would are still battling to get our money back. This company lacks honesty and integrity!! We have photos and emails to back this up
