The Jimmie Hale Mission is a multi-faceted ministry offering programs for homeless men and women, recovery programs using the Active Recovery program developed by our team. Active Recovery is a free 14-week residential program with intensive counseling in a group setting of not more than 15 clients. Each campus offers a Continuum of Care option to graduates of Active Recovery. Continuum of Care works with graduated clients for up to a year on securing proper ID, job training and placement, housing placement, promotion of family reunification, and commitment to support groups. These programs are offered at our downtown Shepura Center, Jessie’s Place Women’s Center, and our Blount County facility Royal Pines. The Shepura Men's Center is an 80-bed dormitory, with a dining hall, clothes closet, chapel services, and learning center. Active Recovery Bible/counseling/addictionology-based recovery classes, individual counseling sessions, group, and individual studies, work therapy, and education remediation and job readiness are offered to the men at this location. At Jessie's Place, Jimmie Hale Mission offers Christ-centered Active Recovery and support/counseling to women and children through daily life skills training, bible studies, case management and counseling, education remediation and job readiness, and therapy options for children. Royal Pines also uses the Active Recovery program, a 14-week, in-resident recovery center for men with bible-based 12-step recovery classes, individual counseling sessions, group bible studies, work therapy, and education and career readiness opportunities. Stewart Learning Centers are located at each location, offering skills, education, and work habits to be self-sufficient, including basic skills training, literacy, GED preparation, resume preparation, job search assistance, and job interview skills training.
