Bio

Kathy Buskett is a professional caricaturist. She has been drawing caricatures live at events and managing caricaturists professionally for 25 years, which is a little like herding cats. 

She drew them in Las Vegas for a decade at all the big casinos, trade shows and events and owned and managed the caricature stand at Fremont Street Experience before moving to the gulf coast to be closer to family. 

Kathy, along with Buddy Rose, her late husband and also a caricaturist, and their caricature crew, participated in one of the largest digital caricature events in the world for Samsung’s product release of the Galaxy note at CES in Las Vegas. Which was more cat herding. 

Some of her clients include Samsung, Cirque du Soleil, Coca Cola, Verizon, AT&T, Top Golf, the USO and many other prestigious companies and organizations. 

Her work has been featured in Business Insider, CNET and Exaggerated Features, the trade magazine for caricaturists. Where they exaggerated her features, of course. 

Kathy is one of the fastest caricaturists in the USA and finished among the finalists for speed at the ISCA speed competition. Speed is the top thing to look for in a caricaturist, along with a style you like, humor, and most importantly, the ability to decimate egos with the stroke of a pen. 

Kathy is remarried to Michael Buskett, lives at home in coastal Alabama (which she absolutely loves) with him and her 3 neurodivergent children,

Homeschools them, runs her business, and is a music minister and runs a house church with her husband. She also teaches art to children and she’s also working on a children’s book  In her spare time. (What exactly is spare time?) 

Her book series features a young adult with Down’s syndrome as the hero, because most “inclusive” books are anything but. She’s currently looking for a traditional publisher.
