My problems with Shelton Lawncare LLC began when they were landscaping a new house next door to me. Their equipment tore up my established Zoysia lawn and they assured me that it would be restored to its prior condition. Their first restoration brought in ******* sod rather than Zoysia sod and they had to replace that sod. Then, they brought in ****** sod that failed to take root. Finally, they replaced that sod with new sod that immediately went into distress and began ********. They told me that it wasn't getting sufficient water and I needed to water it 6 hours per day. That much water caused the sod to develop a fungus and required a fungus treatment for which they billed me. it was only when I greatly reduced the water to this sod on my own that the sod began to look better and finally take root. I sent numerous texts about these matters to the owner of this business and found his responses to be nonresponsive to solving my problems and often, insulting. In the end, since I was a customer of his, he told me to take my business elsewhere. This business owner seems to think that he is always right even when he is clearly sometimes wrong. As long as you aren't raising any issues with him, he is happy to take your money every month but he bristles at customers and even insults those customers who raise issues.
