On December 6, 2022, we contracted with Titan Solar to purchase solar panels for our home for $92,700.00. The panels were financed through Good Leap. The panels were installed in January 2023. We were told that we would be producing so much electricity that we would be selling it back to our electricity provider. Not only has that not occurred, the solar panels are making very little difference in our electric bills. In the last few months we were informed by the ****************************** in ******* that Titan Solar has filed for bankruptcy. According to our contract this causes a default in their agreement with us and we, therefore, can terminate our agreement.Initial Complaint

I bought solar panels in November 2021. They caught fire in April 2023 and burn my house with about 75% worth of damage. The company refuses to work with me. I am looking for compensation to cover the solar and new roof loan and also for emotional distress to my family.Initial Complaint

We signed a contract with Titan Solar Power Company which recently filed bankruptcy earlier this year. One of the solar panel was damaged and removed from the roof due to technical issues and we called for repair. They put us on hold until they finalized their bankruptcy and ignored our call. We reached out to the financing company, *********, to see how we can resolve this but they are unwilling to help us with it. Thus, we are seeking to completely stop paying without our credit card affected. How do we go about it?Initial Complaint

My roof has 7 holes from your defective solar panel system mounting design and installation resulting in $50,000 of damages to our house from water intrusion. This requires immediate repair as you promised to do from December2023 thru June 2024 prior to your bankruptcy. In addition you owe me ****** more for backing out of contract with approved reason. You lied to me about everything to steal my money and have committed crimes against the disabled and senior citizens of *******. The Florida attorney general must arrest all corporate officers for these crimes.Initial Complaint

I entered into an agreement with Titan Solar Power on August 17, 2022, for the purchase and installation of a solar panel system. The system was supposed to significantly reduce or eliminate my reliance on electricity from my utility provider, as represented during the sales process. Despite the system being installed and operational, it has failed to meet these expectations, resulting in dual energy costs that have increased my monthly expenses from $200 to $650. I now pay $200 for regular electricity and $450 for the solar panels, which contradicts the promises made by Titan Solar Power.Furthermore, Titan Solar Power has recently filed for bankruptcy, which constitutes a breach of the contract under Section 8.1 of the Agreement. This section explicitly states that the filing of a voluntary petition of bankruptcy is grounds for default. Despite notifying the company of this breach on July 24, 2024, I have received no satisfactory resolution or response.I am seeking an immediate correction of the systems performance to meet the originally promised energy production levels, thereby eliminating the need for additional electricity costs.Alternatively, the cancellation of the contract and discharge of any associated loan obligations, including the removal of any liens or financial claims against my property, due to the breach of contract and financial burden caused by this situation.Initial Complaint

I want to bring to your attention the matter that took place with the company. In 2020, a sales representative provided me with incorrect information regarding the solar panels, and I unknowingly entered into a contract with them. In 2022, another sales representative did the same in order to secure a sale. Both representatives misrepresented information about me to the company, altering my name, phone number, and email address in the system and falsely claiming that I did not return their calls. Furthermore, they made unexpected visits to my house without my prior knowledge, alleging that I had requested their service, which was not the case. Overall, the actions of the entire company have caused me financial distress due to their deceit, and I am now faced with the burden of paying off the panels while the company is no longer in operation.Initial Complaint
